Job Description

Service Sales and Marketing Engineer

The position reports to the Service Manager and is based in the WEG Middle East office in JAFZA.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Contributes information, ideas, and research to help develop marketing strategies for Service Department
  • Helps to detail, design, and implement marketing plans for spare parts of each product or service being offered
  • Sets marketing schedules and coordinates with colleagues, media representatives, and other professionals to implement strategies across multiple channels
  • Develops sales strategies and approaches for spare parts of various WEG products and services, such as discounted offers, keeping stocks and other events, etc.
  • Answers questions from clients about products (spare parts) and service benefits
  • Maintains excellent relationships with clients through superior customer service
  • Tracks sales data and works to meet quotas or Service team goals
  • Analyses trends, data, demographics, pricing strategies, and other information that can potentially improve marketing and sales performance
  • Creates and presents regular performance reports for the Service Manager
  • Attends and participate in trade shows, converences, events and travels to meet clients as needed
  • Serves customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services. Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and others in a position to understand spare parts and service requirements
  • Attends sales meetings with FSEs, other WME Departments and clients to review prospective projects
  • Plans proactive plan for sales leads
  • Assists in the communication of potential sales leads, both online and over the phone
  • Takes notes and keep minutes during service sales meetings
  • Attends all project hand-off meetings
  • Creates campaigns for and manages company social media (for service) and manages company website for service networks and capabilities
  • Prepares, organizes and files documents
  • Assists and reviews all contracts before sending them to the client

 

OTHER DUTIES

 

  • Receive, analyze, and answer all customers’ requests, questions, and clarifications regarding after sales services and spare parts
  • Prepare and follow up technical and commercial offers for spare parts, services contracts, products repair and servicing
  • Evaluate and analyze incoming warranty claims
  • Recognize after sales opportunities and link potential customers with the appropriate sales team.
  • Achieve and monitor of the annual after sales targets
  • Negotiating prices, terms, and conditions to complete the deal
  • Follow filing and archiving system
  • Receive and record services orders
  • Support the Finance / Logistics Department to accelerate delivery and collection processes

·        Provide technical advice & prepare quotations when required for the WEG product range

·        Maximise the profitability in all aspects to meet the company objectives.

·        Interaction with main manufacturing facilities both at a commercial and technical level

·        Act as Liaison for all WEG service partners in the Middle East.

·        Liaison with parent company & other branch offices in order to maximise WEG scope on projects.

·        Liaise with the Service Department in Brazil / Portugal concerning all spares and service related issues in the region.

·        Develop a service network in the Middle East.

·        Participation in market sector based sales projects as directed by the Service Manager

·        Make significant contribution to Service team by supporting colleagues commercially & technically.

·        Work closely with all service staff to maximise all opportunities including meetings in support of the business objectives.

·        Maximise the synergies between WEG products.

 

Skills

 

QUALIFICATION / DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge of VFD, Softstarters, Motors, Generators and Transformers products and

applications with reference to service environment

 

SKILLS

 

·        Commercial understanding.

·        Sound technical basis in Power Engineering / fault finding and site work.

·        Be able to work under pressure and to deadlines.

·        To be self motivated and to be able to use own initiative.

·        To be willing to take ownership of projects.

·        Good at working with detail and being able to see the big picture.

·        An effective communicator – both orally and in writing.

·        Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

·        Have a friendly disposition and be able to build good relationships both internally with colleagues (team player) and externally with customers.

·        A passion for customer service.
