<p>Job Responsibilities </p><p><br></p><p><span>The Senior </span>Technical Designer is involved in the development and documentation and post contract phases of a design project and includes the quality review of all ID drawings for new design or renovation of internal spaces, including demolition, structural alterations, furnishings, fixtures and fittings, lighting and general design detailing. Designs are produced for hospitality, commercial, leisure and residential projects. </p><p><br></p><p><span>The Senior Technical Designer will review and quality check the design drawings, shop drawings and specifications prepared by the designers</span>, that they confirm with company drawing standards and conventions and communicate the design intent as required for construction. <span>The Senior Technical Designer will also recommend appropriate details and methods for construction and way forward to ensure the drawing package is complete and to the highest standards. The Senior Technical Designer will work closely with the design team and or cad team during the quality review process pointing out solutions to problems observed. The Senior Technical Designer will also be involved in coordinating the execution of the designs during the construction process to ensure the designs are built to the </span>standards. The Senior Technical Designer will follow and administer all SOPβs and checklists and overview the PQP (long form of this phrase) for the <span>post contract services.</span></p><p><br></p><p>___</p><p><br></p><p>Projects will include :</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Hospitality projects</li><li>Office spaces</li><li>Retail locations, e.g. shops, cafes, forecourts;</li><li>Leisure spaces, e.g. cinemas, holiday complexes;</li><li>Residential developments;</li><li>Residential homes</li><li>Public buildings, e.g. museums and civic buildings.</li></ul><p>___</p><p><br></p><p>Additional Role and Responsibilities :</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Overviewing detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes, using computer-aided design (CAD) software or red line mark ups whichever is appropriate for the project.</li><li>Maintaining quality of drawings, details and standards and overviewing this with the design team. Pointing our corrections. </li><li>Surveying buildings if necessary to see shite conditions and attend site to ensure all details and existing conditions are captured and detailed solutions are prepared.</li><li>Preparing checklist of items to be included in drawings and updating the PQP as necessary working with the Quality Administrator.</li><li>Ensuring documentation complies with ISO and local building regulations.</li><li>Working in a team with other designers or cad team.</li><li>Supervising work at the design development and documentation stage and on-site post contract services when and if required on projects assigned.</li><li>Coordinating with architects and other Engineering and design professionals to determine the best resolved solutions working with manufacturers and contractors to determine the most appropriate details for the project.</li><li>Keeping up to date with new developments in the design industry</li><li>Lead by example and ensure the team are providing a professional level of service and consistently exhibiting <strong>Kristina Zanic Consultants Service Standard and Values</strong></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Other Responsibilities</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Ensure full use of the filing system and databases</li><li>Be punctual and on time to commence work</li><li>Be responsible for ensuring that a professional, neat and tidy appearance is portrayed at all times<strong>, </strong>including leading by example through maintaining high standards of morale and appearance</li><li>Assist and work together as part of a team, creating and maintaining a harmonious work environment. Be readily available at all times to deal with problems or concerns</li><li>Ensure Company rules & procedures are followed in accordance with the Employee Handbook and lead by example.</li><li>Build and foster harmonious client relationships.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Experience, Skills:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Minimum of 10 yearsβ experience in a similar position, with a bachelor degree in Architecture or Interior Design</li><li>Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral</li><li>Possess strong administrative skills, timely project completion, record keeping, monthly reporting, time management and organizational skills</li><li>Possess a passion for the design industry, motivation and a team player attitude</li><li>English (written, reading, spoken)</li><li>Required to have a working knowledge of MS Office applications</li><li>Use of CAD related systems including AutoCAD</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Please submit your CV and Portfolio to careers@kristinazanic.com</p>
