Senior Sustainability Specialist
Job Description
<p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p><p><span>The candidate will be working with the technical team on projects located primarily in the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA). The work will primarily focus on sustainability reporting, carbon footprinting, and the wider ESG services.</span></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><span>Develop high-quality technical reports/studies.</span></li><li><span>Attend/ conduct meetings that involve technical issues with concerned parties.</span></li><li><span>Communicate directly with the client to gather all required data and to resolve any technical issues.</span></li><li><span>Coordinate with and manage the project team to ensure producing studies and reports up to required standards.</span></li><li><span>Mentor specifically assigned sustainability Specialists.</span></li><li><span>Enforce the internal work procedures agreed upon with the Technical Team Lead.</span></li><li><span> Immediately report to supervisors possible delays in the execution of projects or in the performance of assigned tasks and propose remedial actions.</span></li><li><span>Ensure that all assigned tasks are fully accomplished and meet deadlines.</span></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><span>4-8 years of practical work experience in environmental and sustainability consulting </span></li><li><span>Holds or currently pursuing MSc. in environmental engineering / environmental sciences.</span><span> </span></li><li><span>Experience in carbon footprinting and sustainability reporting is an asset</span></li><li><span>Good organizational skills and a goal-oriented approach to task completion.</span></li><li><span>Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, both orally and in writing (English and Arabic) with customers, regulatory officials, and co-workers regarding technical and administrative matters.</span></li><li><span>Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal direction and under pressure.</span></li></ul>
