<strong>Overview</strong><p><br></p><strong> Role Purpose </strong><p><br></p>To oversee the development and implementation of the sustainability policies, procedures, standards, strategy, KPIs to create a culture of a sustainability driven organization and ensure and identify where the asset can improve its impact<p><br></p><strong>Key Accountabilities &amp; Activities</strong><p><br></p>Strategy Development, Planning and/ or Contribution<p><br></p><ul><li> Manage the development and implementation of the divisional strategy ensuring alignment to the assets vision, mission, and corporate objectives </li><li> Proactively monitor and measure the implementation of the divisional strategy and related strategic plan ensuring that variances are addressed in a timely manner </li><li> Ensure the provision of subject matter expertise for the assigned domain and provide counsel to the assets leadership on all related areas to facilitate the achievement of the divisional strategic plan and sector’s strategy </li></ul><p><br></p>People Management<p><br></p><ul><li> Manage the achievement of divisional objectives through effective leadership and by managing the setting of individual objectives, monitoring and measuring performance, and developing and motivating the team to maximize performance </li><li> Lead the talent development initiatives, collaborating with departmental experts and thereby ensuring the availability of talent to fit the business requirements </li></ul><p><br></p>Budgeting and Financial Performance<p><br></p><ul><li> Manage the consolidation and recommend the divisional budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget to identify any variances or performance improvement areas </li></ul><p><br></p>Change Management<p><br></p><ul><li> Lead the management of change through continuous improvement of divisional systems, processes and practices considering leading standards and changes in the business environment </li></ul><p><br></p>Reporting<p><br></p><ul><li> Ensure that all divisional reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet the sectors requirements, policies, procedures, and quality standards </li></ul><p><br></p>Policies, Systems, Processes &amp; Procedures<p><br></p><ul><li> Develop and lead the implementation of divisional policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner </li><li> Monitor and measure adherence to divisional policies, systems, processes, and controls ensuring that variances are mitigated in a timely manner </li></ul><p><br></p>Strategy and Implementation<p><br></p><ul><li> Oversee the development and documentation of sustainability related policies, standards and procedures, to ensure full alignment with the international sustainability standards as well as local rules and regulations </li><li> Develop and implement the sustainability policies, procedures, standards, strategy and KPIs in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to ensure success of sustainability initiatives </li><li> Develop and oversee the implementation of sustainability plans to ensure that project delivery operations are carried out with minimal environmental impact </li><li> Manage the definition of the roles and responsibilities of all key parties towards sustainability management and direct the successful implementation to create a culture of a sustainability driven organization </li><li> Manage the development of the sustainability objectives, plans and initiatives in coordination with relevant departments to ensure that a culture of sustainability is entrenched within the sectors way of working </li><li> Develop and execute strategies in order to address issues such as energy use, resource conservation, recycling, pollution reduction, building design, waste elimination </li><li> Implement strategic plans for energy, water, waste, transport, urban planning and governance to achieve the sectors objectives </li></ul><p><br></p>Sustainability Management<p><br></p><ul><li> Conduct the research of environmental sustainability issues and stakeholders’ interests in order to identify environmental concerns, best practices and processes </li><li> Manage the market research to capture emerging global sustainability trends and provide inputs to update existing policies, procedures and standards </li><li> Develop and oversee the implementation of sustainability training and education programs to ensure compliance with environmental or governmental regulations </li><li> Lead the evaluation and approval of proposals for sustainability projects taking into consideration costs effectiveness, technical feasibility and integration with other initiatives </li></ul><p><br></p>Performance Monitoring<p><br></p><ul><li> Monitor and evaluate the efficacy of sustainability programs and identify where the sector can improve its impact to ensure alignment with the sectors objectives and goals </li><li> Develop and monitor sustainability performance standards across all project delivery phases and establish acceptance criteria that comply with legal rules and regulations to take corrective actions towards any violations </li></ul><p><br></p>Reports and Issues<p><br></p><ul><li> Support CSR department in developing sustainability reports and presentations to ensure improvements and avoid issues </li><li> Oversee the development of progress update reports to the board of directors in order to detail the overall program status </li><li> Act as a focal point for all matters related to sustainability, advising the Executive Management team on emerging issues and presenting recommendations to address the issues and enhance sustainable development </li><li> Create material such as content for websites or media channels in order to generate awareness of sustainability issues </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Background, Skills &amp; Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><strong> Knowledge, Skills and Experience </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Policies and process development </li><li> Sustainability strategy </li><li> Market analysis </li><li> Planning and organization </li><li> Decision making and problem-solving </li><li> Strong oral and written communications </li><li> Strong leadership skills and an ability to connect with people to drive successful relationships </li><li> A demonstrable track record of working at the highest standards and delivering outstanding results, including managing change and delivering on growth strategies </li><li> Ability to work with key stakeholders, senior executives, management team and external partners/ advisors through collaboration &amp; teamwork in a non-hierarchical relationship framework </li><li> 15+ years of relevant experience in Sustainability with at least 3 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities </li><li> Experience in KSA and/ or GCC preferred </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Studies, or any other related field</li></ul>
