Job Description
<strong>The opportunity</strong><p><br></p><strong>Project: </strong>This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.<p><br></p>To manage, coordinate, develop and review ongoing and future sustainability studies and policies. Also, the management plans arising from the sustainability studies.<p><br></p>To manage the sustainability projects and programs that align with the vision, mission and business needs. Generally, work with the design and build consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with the sustainability standards and policies, stakeholder and authority requirements, regulations, and laws.<p><br></p><strong><u>Your Responsibilities Will Include</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Ensuring sustainability policies and programs continue to evolve, adapt and stay relevant in light of fast changing internal and external influences. The factors includes a fast track giga-development program; evolving internal and external codes, standards, and governance framework; a growing transitional organization; evolving business partner needs; board, executive and other key stakeholder expectations; studies and consultant inputs. </li><li>Developing, implementing and auditing of the project wide sustainability management system (SMS). </li><li>Ensuring sustainability-related programs are developed and delivered, against agreed objectives, targets and KPI’s. </li><li>Ensuring all sustainability-related studies and projects are clearly scoped in consultation with the relevant functional areas of the business and the relevant approving authority/stakeholders, ensuring studies and projects are delivered within the agreed objectives, targets and KPI’s. </li><li>Monitoring the achievement of the objectives, targets and KPI’s of the delivery teams, and take corrective actions to avoid performance shortfalls. </li><li>Ensuring reports from delivery teams are effectively reported to the relevant functional business areas, executive and board and fed back into ongoing refinement of the SMS. </li><li>Communicating regularly and developing strong relationships with key stakeholders, contractors and consultants. </li><li>Inputting into the design consultant workshops and review of sustainability deliverables with subject expert matter knowledge. </li><li>Monitoring of construction phase sustainable design related works. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>About You</u></strong><p><br></p>You have a bachelor’s degree in a sustainability-related discipline. Professional registration with active professional membership is an advantage. Experience of upholding a management role within a client, consultant or contractor organisation. You have proven experience in the field of sustainability management, with years of experience in the GCC.<p><br></p>You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated, extended teams. You will have a construction or project management consultancy background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace have to offer.<p><br></p>Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required.<p><br></p>
