<strong>Job title </strong><p><br></p>Senior Structural Engineer M/F<p><br></p><strong> Contract type </strong><p><br></p>Permanent contract<p><br></p><strong>Job Description</strong><p><br></p>Senior Civil / Structural Engineer will be responsible for the overall management of the on-site Structural works. As part of a multi-disciplinary construction team, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, monitoring and the execution of all Structural and Civil related works including safety.<p><br><br></p><ul><li>Knowledge in Renovation of old buildings.</li><li>Experience in dewatering/shoring.</li><li>Providing construction supervision and construction activity approval management.</li><li>Monitoring and coordinating contractors’ activities.</li><li>Developing discipline construction schedules and monitoring progress.</li><li>Providing schedule and progress appraisal report to the Project Director</li><li>Monitoring material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned discipline.</li><li>Ensuring that materials received meet specifications and established standards of quality.</li><li>Maintaining first-level quality assurance to confirm that the installation of work is in accordance with the plans, specifications, and industry standards</li><li>Supervising the construction engineering work and provide technical expertise</li><li>Ensuring that tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures</li><li>Collaborating to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety or health of employees</li><li>Ensures that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with site-specific safety procedures and industry standards</li><li>Establishing and maintaining liaison with the discipline design engineering staff</li><li>Reviewing and interpreting discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure current revision level and correct technical execution of the work.</li><li>Providing resolution for technical engineering problems and coordinating application of solutions.</li><li>Initiating and maintaining records, back-charge procedures, progress reports, etc., as required.</li><li>Organizing the data for the final project turnover and report</li><li>Interfaces with the client and upper-level management<br></li></ul><p><br></p><strong> Profile </strong><p><br><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering</li><li>Minimum of 12 years </li><li>Capable of operating as technical lead as well as team member as scope and range of project interaction alters accordingly</li><li>Strong track record in managing a multidisciplinary team of engineers</li><li>Ability to multitask and effectively problem-solve</li><li>Good insight and background with regard to materials testing with an emphasis on quality, safety and adherence (i.e. soil, concrete, grout, dewatering, load testing, etc.) materials delivery, staging, scheduling, coordination, etc.<br></li></ul>
