This position requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the sports retail industry, and a passion for sports.<p><br></p><strong>Key responsibilities of a Store Manager include:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring efficient and smooth processes.</li><li>Drive sales and achieve store targets through effective merchandising, promotions, and sales strategies.</li><li>Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take appropriate actions to optimize sales and profitability.</li><li>Lead and inspire a diverse team of sports enthusiasts, ensuring high levels of motivation and engagement.</li><li>Train and develop store staff, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.</li><li>Set performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide coaching and feedback to support professional growth.</li><li>Foster a customer-centric culture and ensure exceptional customer service is delivered consistently.</li><li>Train and coach staff to provide expert product knowledge, personalized advice, and assistance to customers.</li><li>Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner.</li><li>Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal product availability and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.</li><li>Coordinate with the logistics and supply chain teams to facilitate timely product replenishment.</li><li>Implement effective stock control procedures, including stock counts, inventory accuracy checks, and loss prevention measures.</li><li>Ensure the store layout and visual merchandising align with guidelines and standards.</li><li>Create attractive product displays, highlight promotions, and ensure a visually appealing shopping environment.</li><li>Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to implement seasonal and promotional campaigns.</li><li>Monitor and manage store expenses, budgets, and operational costs.</li><li>Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.</li><li>Maintain knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and market developments to drive continuous improvement.</li><li>Build strong relationships with local sports communities, clubs, and organizations.</li><li>Coordinate and participate in local sports events, workshops, and initiatives to promote the brand.</li><li>Collaborate with the marketing team to implement marketing and promotional activities in line with the brand’s strategy.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Qualifications And Education Requirements</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Age 28-38</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in business administration, retail management, or a related field (preferred).</li><li>Proven experience as a store manager or in a similar retail management role, preferably in the sports industry.</li><li>Passion for sports and an understanding of different sports categories and products.</li><li>Exceptional leadership and team management skills.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.</li><li>Strong business acumen and the ability to analyze sales data and financial reports.</li><li>Proficiency in using retail management software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.</li><li>Sound knowledge of visual merchandising principles and store layout optimization.</li><li>Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets and driving profitability.</li><li>Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.</li></ul>
