Why work at WebXT<br><br>Inside Microsoft’s Web Experiences Team<br><br>The content moderation &amp; understanding team in Cairo, Egypt is seeking senior software engineers to join its growing team in Cairo. Content moderation is part of the content moderation &amp; understanding team under content services in the WebXT organization. The content moderation team has a mission of providing a safe and harm free environment for the Microsoft daily news &amp; feeds millions of customers who utilize the platform. The team builds AI models and the enabling platform to detect any harmful content be it hate speech, bullying and harassment, inappropriate content be it in text, image or videos.<br><br><strong><u>Responsibilities<br></u></strong><ul><li>Design and implement the architecture for highly scalable, durable, low latency capacity planning system.</li><li>Drive innovations leveraging big data, machine learning (ML) techniques and distributed systems to deliver business results.</li><li>Collaborate closely with partner teams across Microsoft to deliver key planning solutions and the technology to support them. </li><li>Help gather and define requirements, KPIs, priorities and planning of engineering deliverables.<br></li></ul><strong><u>Qualifications<br></u></strong><ul><li>BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related disciplines.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to learn quickly, work independently in complex situations, and deal with ambiguity.</li><li>Fluency with programming languages: C# preferred</li><li>Fluency with scripting language: Python preferred</li><li>Understanding of big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Hive, or Cassandra.</li><li>Understanding of cloud platforms: Azure, IBM, or Google.</li><li>Understanding of database systems: SQL and NoSQL.</li><li>Experience in systems using machine learning models is a huge plus<br></li></ul>Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
