Senior Software Engineer
Job Description
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain various software solutions and their infrastructure following clean code principles and practices for the company and clients.</li><li>Perform and maintain software solutions deployments into the cloud (including AWS and Microsoft Azure) and mobile applications stores.</li><li>Conduct regular system audits, and identify and act on opportunities to improve and update software and systems.</li><li>Support various teams with a technical vision in the core areas of interest for the company’s products.</li><li>Support other team members and clients and conduct training programs and workshops.</li><li>Collaborate with product owners, scrum masters, and other developers to deliver a quality product using tools such as JIRA and Git.</li><li>Implement SEO technical recommendations.</li><li>Contribute to building and maintaining the policies, procedures, and technical assets in Chain Reaction cloud infrastructure.</li><li>Understand and use the company’s technical architectures, tools, and techniques to build powerful, efficient, flexible, and scalable solutions.</li><li>Ability to perform basic database administration, performance optimization, index optimization, write advanced select queries, and replace cursor usage with relational SQL.</li><li>Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.</li><li>Develop and maintain highly responsive web-based user interfaces for web solutions.</li><li>Follow and apply cyber security standards like ISO 27001, NESA UAE Information Assurance Standards, and OWASP Top Ten.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or relevant field.</li><li>Proven experience of at least 6 years working as a software engineer or Web Developer or a similar role.</li><li>Solid experience in PHP, Linux, MySQL.</li><li>Strong understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, jQuery, Bootstrap, PSD and CSS3.</li><li>Experience in OOP in PHP and PHP frameworks (such as Laravel, CodeIgnitor, Yii).</li><li>Experience in Content Management Systems such as Magento, WordPress, and/or Drupal.</li><li>Excellent debugging skills and ability to work with legacy systems.</li><li>Ability to support team members and manage multiple projects on a short frequent basis.</li><li>Experience in web services, RESTful APIs, and relational databases.</li><li>Experience in Ruby on Rails and HubSpot are a plus.</li></ul><p><br></p>
