We are aspiring to create a lighthouse technology company which will have a lasting impact in the entire tech ecosystem in our geography.<p><br></p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><p><br></p>We are seeking an experienced Senior Revenue and AR Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Revenue and AR Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the company’s revenue recognition process and managing the accounts receivable function.<p><br></p><ul><li>Ensure compliance with revenue recognition principles under IFRS. </li><li>Review contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition and prepare revenue recognition journal entries. </li><li>Prepare monthly revenue reconciliations and revenue-related schedules for financial reporting and resolve any reconciling items. </li><li>Manage the accounts receivable function including invoicing, cash application, collections, and account reconciliations</li><li>Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up with customers to ensure timely payment. </li><li>Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including sales, operations, and customer service teams to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and collections. </li><li>Lead the month-end close process and prepare various financial reports and analyses as required</li><li>Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of revenue recognition and accounts receivable processes. </li><li>Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies. </li><li>Ensure documentation is complete and as per company policy/accounting &amp; audit standards. </li><li>Support in the timely submission of tax and audit supporting schedules as required. </li><li>Review the work of the junior team members and provide guidance to promote a culture of continuous learning and development. </li><li>Support the Finance manager in complex technical areas. </li><li>Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Desired Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance</li><li>Qualified or part qualified certified accountant (ACCA, CA, CPA, or similar)</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue recognition and accounts receivable</li><li>Strong knowledge of IFRS is a must</li><li>Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and proficiency in Excel</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality</li><li>Prior experience in audit is preferred</li><li>Fluent in English</li><li>Track record of managing high volume of data</li><li>Experience in leading a team</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Other Capabilities:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Move fast and make things</li><li>Data beats opinions</li><li>Don’t confuse motion with progress</li><li>Failure is success if we learn from it</li><li>People over pixels</li></ul>
