It is home to a diverse community of leading scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and researchers from across the globe, transforming problems and roadblocks into pioneering research and technology prototypes that help move society ahead.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>AI and Digital Science Research Centre</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The Artificial Intelligence Cross-Center Unit is the machine learning powerhouse of TII, working in close collaboration with our other research centers to harness the full benefits of AI across our projects – and drive innovation from new computing paradigms, designing and delivering new AI methodologies, technologies, solutions, and systems that address challenging issues across multiple sectors of the economy – from technology to healthcare, cybersecurity, and government, among others.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>We incorporate core elements of intelligence (perception, sensing, planning, and language) in the ideation, design, and prototyping of next-generation systems with human-like intelligence. We build advanced AI computing and scalable AI-based software stacks and hardware systems to deliver significant enhancements in systems infrastructure.Our AI researchers, scientists, and engineers collaborate to ensure innovative outcomes, from AI theory to AI technologies towards better intelligence.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>The candidate will focus on creating, adapting, and improving algorithms for various use cases in the topic of natural language processing and large language models</li><li>Apply machine learning and deep learning techniques to improve accuracy of NLP/LLM algorithms and systems</li><li>Develop state-of-the-art natural language processing algorithms and models, with the primary focus on dialogue systems, natural language understanding, logic reasoning, pretraining, question answering, etc.</li><li>Research and explore new natural language processing algorithms, and support complete solutions for future company applications</li><li>Solve NLP challenges that can be applied large-scale use cases</li><li>Building integrated solutions that apply our technology towards specific product verticals</li><li>Developing and maintaining the software stack related to NLP/LLM</li><li>Acquiring and managing datasets from real world scenarios for training models</li><li>Training model with large dataset as well as large model on multi-GPU, with a good understanding of data parallelism training and model parallelism training</li><li>Write efficient and easy to read code, but also review the code from others</li><li>Optimize model for real world application, with consideration of accuracy, robustness, and speed</li><li>Propose/build novel algorithms and publish/patent them</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Skills Required</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>4+ years experience in the field</li><li>In-depth understanding of NLP/LLM</li><li>In depth understanding of Artificial Intelligence</li><li>Proficiency with Python</li><li>Proven experience with at least one of: TensorFlow/Keras/Pytorch</li><li>Publications in top-ranking conferences/journals, such as ICML, Neurips, KDD, VLDB, AAAI, NIPS, to cite a few.</li><li>Experience in machine learning related competitions, such as Kaggle</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Qualifications Required</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field</li></ul><li></li>
