Our solutions are utilized by over 31,000 academic programs at more than 1,000 institutions worldwide.</p><p><br></p><p>As a developer on the Liaison Component Library team, you will work closely with UX design to build out a shared React-based component library, which leverages Material UI and Storybook. This product will serve to streamline the development cycles for all Liaison front-end products, establish a recognizable brand identity, and solidify Liaison as a leader in the education space.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, to translate design mockups and wireframes into fully functional components and features.</li><li>Utilize your expertise in React, Storybook, Material UI, and associated tools to implement visually stunning and highly interactive user interfaces for our SaaS-based products.</li><li>Develop and maintain a library of UI components using Storybook, creating a shared Component Library to unify the aesthetic and user experience for all front-end Liaison products.</li><li>Integrate the Component Library with Material UI to design visually appealing interfaces that align with common design guidelines and industry best practices.</li><li>Conduct comprehensive testing of UI components and applications using testing frameworks like Jest, Enzyme, or React Testing Library to ensure high-quality code.</li><li>Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to deliver smooth interactions and optimal user experiences.</li><li>Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to front-end development and user interface design.</li><li>Drive accessibility efforts to ensure our products comply with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).</li><li>Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, readability, and adherence to established coding standards.</li><li>Implement responsive designs and optimize user interfaces for various devices and screen sizes.</li><li>Mentor cross-team developers to promote proper usage of the Component Library.</li></ul><p>Requirements:</p><ul><li>Proven experience as a Senior React UI Developer, with a strong focus on React, Storybook, and Material UI.</li><li>Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to create and maintain UI component libraries using Storybook.</li><li>Expertise in implementing visually appealing interfaces following Material UI principles and design guidelines.</li><li>Familiarity with modern front-end build tools and workflows (e.g., Webpack, Babel).</li><li>Experience with version control systems, such as Git, for collaborative development.</li><li>Strong knowledge of testing frameworks like Jest, Enzyme, or React Testing Library to ensure high-quality code.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in UI/UX design and implementation.</li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile development environment.</li><li>Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with designers and backend developers.</li></ul><p> </p><p>Join Liaison International’s dynamic team and contribute your expertise in React, Storybook, Material UI, and associated tools and testing to shape responsive web user interfaces that empower millions of students in their academic journeys.
