<strong>Summary</strong><p><br></p>To develop, organize, participate, manage, and control the activities of Consumed Water’s projects, in order to own or support delivering Consumed Water assets and operations within quality standards and delivery dates.<p><br></p>Background:<p><br></p>The Consumed Water’s Project Engineer is a critically important role within the WATER SUPPLY team of NEOM WATER and central to the delivery of NEOM’s objectives to develop water supply solutions of the future.<p><br></p>The Project Engineer will focus on The Remineralized Drinking Water implementations and is responsible and/ or contributor for projects, operation and maintenance, field work or support required for the delivery of all aspects of the water supply scheme associated with water that will be consumed and replaces the conventional regional approach of delivering water in plastic bottles or 5-gallon dispensers.<p><br></p>The projects will include the development and operating of decentralized water remineralization facilities delivering quality drinking water to the point of use through dedicated water distribution systems, as well as developing campaigns to raise awareness of the health benefits of high-quality drinking water.<p><br></p>NEOM embraces the vision of a regional development focused on the principles of Circular Economy, Zero Waste, Carbon Free, Sustainable solutions which enhance the environment but are based on sound economic principles. of commitment, persistence, and skill in managing, developing & delivering the solutions with various stakeholders.<p><br></p><strong>Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities</strong><p><br></p><strong> Planning, Strategy, & Delivery </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Contribute to the planning, design and implementation of Consumed Water’s strategic objectives and goals by providing inputs and contributions on water projects execution, technical and engineering and field operations support. </li><li> Support on overall water supply projects from startup to commissioning, handover & operations, and maintenance phases in order to meet established objectives, budgets and deadlines. </li><li> Own Projects, Field and/or O&M activities covering, but not limited to, the following: planning, defining the requirements, implementations, delivery, performance management, quality management, etc. </li><li> Development of projects/activities timelines and interface with stakeholders to ensure that the project programs are maintained, and Consumed Water operations commences in line with the program plans. </li><li> Develop structured workplans for projects, operations & maintenance, and field support covering both administration and field/deployment activities, covering, but not limited to, the following: objectives, requirements, procedures, progress, QHSE, and reporting. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong> Project Management, Technical and Engineering work, and Field Support, </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Manage, and/or support on delivery of consumed water projects </li><li> Overall project management activities for assigned projects or supporting the team </li><li> Technical contributions on the design stages for NEOM assets or regions covering Consumed Water’s drinking water systems </li><li> Manage, Coordinate, and Report on field related activities including but not limited to leading field deployments and activities across NEOM, inspection of operational facilities, supervision of and liaison with contractors or other parties, supervision of field works. </li><li> Manage progress of design and/or construction of Consumed Water assets and implementations, including technical reviews and making of recommendations/directions </li><li> Lead Projects works to ensure the services are successfully delivered according to Water sector’s standards </li></ul><p><br></p><strong> Procurement and Contracts Management </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Own and manage procurements of assigned projects/ services from developing SOW, employer’s requirements, technical & commercial evaluations, contract negotiations up to awarding and completion of the contract. </li><li> Monitor transaction compliance (milestone, deliverables, invoicing, etc.) to ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled and in compliance with NEOM regulations, policies, and procedures </li></ul><p><br></p><strong> Interface Management </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Work with suppliers, contractors, Projects Delivery Team, Proponents, NEOM Operations, Consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of Consumed Water commitments. </li><li> Engage and maintain close working relationships with partners and third parties to optimize operational performance </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Background, Skills</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Minimum 4 years of project, operational and field experience in the water industry, specializing on drinking water distribution systems or potable water building services </li><li> Relevant detailed knowledge and experience on water distribution system components with experience in its design and construction </li><li> Relevant technical engineering experience on water distribution systems design and construction </li><li> Relevant experience in water hydraulic engineering, including designing on application software, reading and technically reviewing and verifying others’ designs </li><li> Has worked on major engineering firms, government agency or complex business environment, that has diversified workforce, and is working at a level where he/ she had responsibility and ownership of complex, and technical tasks </li><li> Understand project/operations management frameworks and has experience developing planning, monitoring, and evaluation systems </li><li> Ability to provide detailed technical assessments, recommendations, and writing </li><li> Ability to communicate efficiently across the business, and influence people at all levels </li><li> Ability to manage, direct and lead team of field operatives </li><li> Ability to set goals and can focus on both short- and long-term strategic objectives </li><li> Ability to make prompt, informed, and fact-based decisions for the good of the project. </li><li> Ability to work on extremely Agile environments and can easily adapt to change </li><li> High sense of accountability: Embrace ownership of and accountability for the project </li><li> Understand the nature of the role, either its physical requirements being field focused or flexibility, and is willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Bachelor’s Degree in engineering – Mechanical engineering is preferred </li><li> Specialized hydraulic engineering courses and certifications – preferred </li><li> PMP certified – preferred</li></ul>
