They are what we believe, what customers can expect, and how we deliver.<br><br><strong><u>Project Description<br><br></u></strong>Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company is providing Executive Project Management consultancy services (including technical, commercial, and construction management) for the development of certain defined aspects of the NEOM Infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.<br><br>NEOM is a planned cross-border city in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi Arabia. The site is near the Red Sea and the borders of Egypt, Israel, and Jordan. It will cover a total area of 26,500 km2 (10,200 sq mi) and will extend 460 km along the coast of the Red Sea<br><br>NEOM will be the home and workplace to more than a million residents from around the world. It will include towns and cities, ports and enterprise zones, research centers, sports and entertainment venues, and tourist destinations. As a hub for innovation, entrepreneurs, business leaders, and companies will come to research, incubate, and commercialize new technologies and enterprises in groundbreaking ways.<br><br><strong><u>Summary Of Responsilities<br><br></u></strong>A Senior Project Engineer (PE) is responsible for the lookahead planning of a project and coordination of project disciplines to meet target goals. A Project Engineer works closely with all members of the Construction team to create project procedures and ensure they are established within the delivery teams.<br><br><strong><u>Essential Job Duties<br></u></strong><ul><li> Leads by example in all aspects of the works site. This includes safety, quality, and leadership. Takes the necessary actions to ensure all personnel follow by these actions and attitudes. Conducts joint safety inspections with the Contractor’s craft staff and managers</li><li> Responsible for recording and escalating any design, constructability or interface issues arising</li><li> For Design Build contracts, responsible for performance management of the Contractor’s design</li><li> Monitors site progress to ensure timeliness of technical input where required</li><li> Develops and issues the project construction procedures to ensure compliance with the project construction responsibilities, quality, and ES&amp;H processes. Issues these accordingly to be used by the work areas</li><li> Reviews design materials to ensure they are suitable for the project needs and in line with the project specifications</li><li> Reviews current land permits and license conditions against project requirements and ensure the required requests are submitted to allow suitable time prior to project execution</li><li> Attends daily / weekly coordination and progress meetings with the contractor as required</li><li> Ensures effective work planning to provide deliverables to Construction which allow continuous construction work fronts availability</li><li> Provides technical direction to construction teams in a wide range of construction engineering and design functions across the whole program, including but not limited to earthworks, civil, structural, and survey works</li><li> Reviews and performance manages the Contractor’s construction engineering planning and sequence of work packages</li><li> Responsible for activities relating to construction engineering, commercial, and engineering liaison to the design functional group and by extending the support to the construction engineering personnel</li><li> Manages communication with the Design and Construction teams including agreement on engineering deliverables</li><li> Regularly liaises with CEs, SCEs, and CMs to resolve any technical issues which arise during Construction of the works</li><li> Collaborates with engineering on constructability and design issues including quality, safety, program, and coordination issues and escalates appropriately</li><li> Responsible for specifying the requirement for any temporary construction facilities, access roads, and managing the package work scopes as required</li><li> Works with the customer’s resident engineering and operating personnel to coordinate construction verification activities</li><li> Responsible for programing and planning the project training to the necessary works needs<br></li></ul><strong><u>Qualifications, Experience, Job Knowledge And Skill Set Requirements<br></u></strong><ul><li> A recognized bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil / Structural engineering (or international equivalent)</li><li> Actual work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the technical knowledge of the essential job duties described above</li><li> Technical knowledge of all phases of construction engineering relating to a single discipline interfacing with all areas, or in a multi- discipline position assigned to a single area</li><li> Knowledge of construction activities as they relate to engineering disciplines, cost and scheduling, and contract administration on large Infrastructure projects</li><li> Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the ES&amp;H requirements, quality standards, specifications, codes, industry practices and other compliance requirements involves in the construction of infrastructure projects</li><li> Knowledge and experience on the activities and risks involved in construction of large infrastructure works</li><li> Knowledge on subcontracts and interpretation of subcontract documents</li><li> Must be able to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills to maintain a positive work environment between all parties including the Client, Contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle</li><li> Must have good oral and written communication skills in English</li><li> Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications</li><li> Experience of working and living in camp locations<br></li></ul><strong>Shaping tomorrow together<br><br></strong><strong>Bechtel is one of the most respected global engineering, construction, and project management companies.
