<strong>Job Description<br><br></strong><strong>Job Overview:<br><br></strong>Perform examination of welds / material by Radiography (RT), Ultrasonic (AUT, MUT, PAUT, and TOFD), Magnetic Testing (MT) Dye Penetrant (PT) and Alternative Current Field Measurement (ACFM) based upon code and contractual specification. Determine conformity / non-conforming flaws and report accurately and liaise with Sr. Principal Quality Inspector, Inspection Tech Supervisor, Production Supervisor, Customer, QC Inspector.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><strong>Key Tasks and Responsibilities:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Perform NDT examination of welds and materials by any one of the following methods and qualification (i.e. AUT, RT, MUT, PAUT, TOFD, PT, and MT) in accordance with a written Project NDT Plan, NDT Procedures, Code and Contractual Specification.</li><li>Be capable of executing the examination in accordance with approved NDT procedures and internationally recognized codes / specs. Determine acceptance / rejection based upon the defined criteria. Technician shall liaise with the assigned Quality Inspector to determine the completion of assigned task.</li><li>Report conforming work and identify non-conforming work for rectification. Ensure rectified work is inspected by the Quality Inspector prior to examination by the original NDT Method.</li><li>Be occupationally Qualified to internationally recognized schemes to determine competency (i.e. PCN, CSWIP, ASNT etc.) requirement and shall perform duties ethically in accordance with the professional occupation guidelines.</li><li>Be proficient in assessing examination results accurately, sentencing welds and reporting same, according to the relevant code/spec acceptance criteria.</li><li>Impart practical training to junior technician and guide them about overall NDT work process.</li><li>Ensure proper maintenance of NDT equipment and Calibration records</li><li>Review NDT related procedure such as vendor documents, client specifications etc.</li><li>Develop NDT Inspection scan plan &amp; technique sheet based on the project requirement for Advanced NDT method such as PAUT &amp; TOFD.</li><li>Coordinate with Internal / External disciplines, NDT Sub-Contractor and Regional NDT Manager to ensure that project specification requirements are followed, implemented and highlight any deviation in the technical requirements to the concerned parties during the execution phase.</li><li>Organize and supervise all NDT procedure qualifications, submittals, and approvals.</li><li>Ensure availability of NDT resources &amp; specific procedures to be utilized on the project.</li><li>Manage timely training, qualification, approval, allocation of NDT personnel.</li><li>Ensure that all the requirements of Project NDT Technical Specifications, Approved Project Procedures and Drawings are followed / implemented correctly. He shall perform site visits, inspections to ensure best practices are being applied.</li><li>Submission of NDT procedures, running procedure qualification tests, overall control of NDT activities and overall coordination with NDT sub-contractor to ensure the availability of NDT Equipment, procedure, and manpower resource to meet the project marine &amp; Onshore pipeline schedule. </li><li>Liaise with COMPANY NDE SME on all technical &amp; operational matters related to NDT. </li><li>Liaise with the appointed NDT Consultant and involve in the validation program and shall coordinate with all concerned parties for successful completion of project.</li><li>Responsible to review and endorse all NDT reports issued by the NDT Operative</li><li>Prepare RFQ, TBE’s for selection of NDT subcontractor.</li><li>Vendor Document procedure review during procurement.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><strong>Essential Qualifications and Education:<br><br></strong><ul><li>High school (10+2) qualified or 2 yrs diploma</li><li>10+ years in radiographic Supervision/RTFI or Ultrasonic, MT &amp; PT.</li><li>ASNT, PCN or CSWIP Level II Qualification.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Company Overview and Core Values:<br><br></strong>McDermott is a premier, fully-integrated provider of technology, engineering and construction solutions to the energy industry.
