ALEC also possesses a Design and Build capability, which enables us to provide integrated construction solutions to our clients.</p><p><br></p><p>ALEC offers its clients a complete turnkey solution with construction, MEP, fit-out, energy efficiency solutions and solar opportunities, facilities management capabilities, heavy equipment rental as well as technology systems.</p><p><br></p><p>We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced <strong>Senior Planning Engineer</strong> to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Position Overview</u></strong></p><p>Provide a support function on a project/projects ensuring all Project Controls &amp; Planning requirements of site management are maintained.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Core Job Functions</u></strong></p><p><strong>Prepare Programmes:</strong></p><ul><li>Set up project calendar</li><li>Set up Activities and Coding with construction managers</li><li>Set up resource requirements using ALEC standard outputs</li><li>Sequence &amp; link the required activities, within given milestones.</li><li>Establish the critical path through the programme</li><li>Prepare information schedule in conjunction with construction manager</li><li>Prepare subcontract appointment schedule with construction manager</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Progress monitoring and updates:</strong></p><ul><li>Regular progress recording on site of actual progress</li><li>Record &amp; report actual progress against target programme</li><li>Preparation of required reports for construction managers</li><li>Interpret data and identify bottlenecks with construction manager</li><li>Predict completion dates and prepare “Look-ahead” reports</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Monitor resources and Key Performance Index items (KPI’s)</strong></p><ul><li>Create baseline resource curves</li><li>Record actual against planned on resource curves &amp; KPI’s</li><li>Create records of actual progress of KPI’s</li><li>Liaise with construction managers regarding resource requirements</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Sub Contractor programmes:</strong></p><ul><li>Examine and report on subcontract programmes</li><li>Ensure subcontract programmes are in line with Contract Baseline and site requirements</li><li>Monitor subcontract work against programmes</li><li>Report on subcontract progress to construction managers</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Working Programmes:</strong></p><ul><li>Establish working programme requirements with construction managers</li><li>Prepare working programmes in consultation with site supervision</li><li>Monitor &amp; report on working programmes</li><li>Revise working programmes where required by construction managers</li><li>Advise Site Team of Mitigation Measures</li><li>Should Train and Develop Planning Engineers</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Delay analysis: </strong></p><ul><li>Record delay items and link to relevant programme activities</li><li>Establish effect of delay items on programme</li><li>Suggest recovery methods in conjunction with construction managers</li><li>Produce Detailed Particulars for Claims</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Requirements:</u></strong></p><ol><li>Engineering or Building Degree or equivalent</li><li>6-8 years as Planning Engineer in the building construction industry</li><li>Training and advanced experience in project controls &amp; planning using Primavera P6 and Excel</li></ol><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Other Skills/Abilities</u></strong></p><ol><li>Building Experience</li><li>Have Leadership skills</li><li>Responsible for others</li><li>Excellent Communicator</li><li>Trustworthy</li></ol><p><br></p><p><strong><u>When applying, please ensure you include your CV.</u></strong></p>
