<p><strong>This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.</strong></p> <p><strong>About the Company<br></strong><br><br><br>This company engages in the exploration, production, transportation, and sale of crude oil and natural gas. The company was founded on May 29, 1933 and is headquartered in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.</p> <p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p> <p>The Architect has a crucial role in different stages of a project corresponding with representatives from other Units, Departments, Vendors, and Site Managers. The job responsibilities are listed as below:</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Receiving Work Requests</p> <ul> <li>Schedule start and end dates in coordination with Engineering Support Group.</li> <li>Manage time and resources for priority jobs without delaying planned projects.</li> </ul> </li> <li> <p>Identifying Project Service Request</p> <ul> <li>Planned projects: <ul> <li>Allocated funds during the year.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Unplanned projects: <ul> <li>No allocated funds.</li> <li>Requested as a priority from Upper Management without prior planning.</li> <li>Examples: Executive Houses, quick responses.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Consult with Work Control.</li> </ul> </li> <li> <p>Listing Proponent Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Understand the Proponent’s Requirements: <ul> <li>Functions, activities, preferences, budget, timeline, priorities.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> </li> <li> <p>Studying Existing</p> <ul> <li>Request security approvals: <ul> <li>Fill up a form prior to visiting the facility and taking pictures.</li> </ul> </li> <li>File existing pictures.</li> </ul> </li> <li> <p>Concept Design</p> <ul> <li>Develop concept design: <ul> <li>Free hand, 2D, or 3D CADD presentations.</li> <li>Include main ideas.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> </li> <li> <p>Budgetary Estimate</p> <ul> <li>Study budgetary estimates that fit the proponent’s requirements.</li> </ul> </li> <li> <p>Concept Presentations</p> <ul> <li>Prepare presentations: <ul> <li>Hardcopies on boards or digital presentations on PowerPoint.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Give verbal presentations.</li> <li>Document minutes of meeting.</li> <li>Develop design options and estimates.</li> </ul> </li> <li> <p>Engineering Package Coordination</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with assigned Architect: <ul> <li>At the Engineering Group or with the Interior Design in-house Architect.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Coordinate with engineering disciplines: <ul> <li>Mechanical, electrical, communication.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Ensure completion of tasks and implementation of comments.</li> <li>Review Construction Drawings and Scope of Work.</li> </ul> </li> <li> <p>Materials’ Specification</p> <ul> <li>Select and specify interior and exterior finishes and lighting fixtures.</li> <li>Include selection and specification of furniture, accessories, and signage.</li> </ul> </li> <li> <p>Construction Support</p> <ul> <li>Discuss contractors’ queries and concerns before job bid.</li> <li>Approve all submittals by the contractor.</li> <li>Provide construction support, including site supervision.</li> <li>Resolve design issues by providing detailed drawings.</li> </ul> </li><br></ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>15 years’ design experience in an architectural office</li> <li>Architectural Registration in the US or UK</li> <li>Member of the AIA (American Institute of Architects) or RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects)</li> <li>Excellent command of the English language</li></ul>
