<p><strong><u>Reports to:</u> </strong>Director, Project Management </p><p><strong><u>Purpose:</u></strong><u> </u>The job holder will provide technical and scientific assistance in a wide range of the project activities. He/she is responsible for the implementation of several surveys, interviews and perform data analysis for further utilization. In addition, provide preparatory data and reports required for the various component of the project. Also, assist in the development of scientific publications. </p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Perform data acquisition and analysis in a wide range of the project’s activities, includes but not limited to; data regarding scientists, projects, topics, and geographical distribution of water related activities</li><li>Develop several questionnaires and interviews, including needs assessment questionnaires and questionnaires regarding quality assurance and performing interviews, where needed</li><li>Assist in scientific publications, include either initiating the publication writing or assisting in drafting the scientific publication by others</li><li>Assist in the development of scientific reports, assist partners in drafting various kinds of scientific reports</li><li>Assist in the organization of research symposiums, to assist in the organization of the annual symposium of the Center of Excellence for Water (COE)</li><li>Assist in the development and the implementation of the research grants, assist in all steps required in the realization of the research grants of the project, from drafting the call to pre and post award processes</li><li>Assist in the development and implementation of the exchange program, assist in the selection, recruitment and follow up of trainees</li><li>Assist in the scientific organization of workshops/seminars, assist in the organization of the COE workshops/seminars either these are face-to-face or virtual</li><li>Perform other related duties as requested from direct supervisor</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Requirements:</u></strong></p><p><strong><u>Minimum Education Requirements:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in a related field</li><li>Master’s degree in Water or related field is an asset </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Experience:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 8-10 years of Experience, 3 of which in related field</li><li>Prior experience in similar activities is an asset</li><li>Prior experience with USAID or similar organization is an asset</li><li>Skilled in data collection and analysis</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Skills:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Excellent command of spoken and written English and Arabic </li><li>Good attention to details with excellent follow up skills</li><li>Time management and multi-tasking</li><li>Ability to work independently, take initiative</li><li>Good communications and interpersonal skills</li><li>Ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with project constituents</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines</li><li>Results-oriented and able to work effectively within a team</li><li>Mobile and willing to travel within and outside of Egypt</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Work Conditions:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Based in Cairo, Egypt but will be required to travel to project locations as needed.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><em>This position is open until July 23, 2023</em></p><p><em><span class=”ql-cursor”> </span></em></p><p><em>Placement is based on the candidate’s experience and skills.
