Job Description
<p><strong>IP Network Engineer</strong></p><p><span>IP Network Engineers design, implement and maintain a company or organization’s IP Ethernet network. It is their responsibility to develop tools to manage the network and provide all necessary technical assistance to operation groups around the clock as needed.</span></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Duties and responsibilities:</strong></p><p><span>· Taking care of the implementation of the IP and MPLS. Handle network changes and other additional tasks.</span></p><p><span>· Design, Deployment, configuration, and management of all network devices.</span></p><p><span>· Work with partner teams and/or vendors to lead day-to-day operations and reliability of the network.</span></p><p><span>· Schedule and perform maintenance including upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning of production networks</span></p><p><span>· Establish and implement global standard methodologies and contribute to the design of new scalable network solutions</span></p><p><span>· Support the development, testing, and integration of new hardware and software platforms into the network</span></p><p><span>· Provide technical assistance to other department engineers. </span></p><p><span>· Offer all the necessary support to the operations functions and processes.</span></p><p><span>· Scripting and automation.</span></p><p><span><span class=”ql-cursor”></span></span></p><p><strong>Requirements: -</strong></p><p><span>· Proven experience designing, deploying, and operating large-scale networks.</span></p><p><span>· Solid understanding of network protocols and Technologies such as (MPLS, L2VPN, L3VPN, Segment Routing and LDP, BGP, OSPF, DNS) and experience with IPv4 and IPv6, VRF, Multi-Chassis Ether-Channel)</span></p><p><span>· Familiarity with Cisco ASR Routers and Cisco Nexus Switches.</span></p><p><span>· Experience working in a multi-vendor environment.</span></p><p><span>· Solid understanding of physical infrastructure design including structured cabling and fiber-optic cabling</span></p><p><span>· Proven experience handling multiple projects simultaneously and delivering against critical deadlines</span></p><p><span>· Proven experience working in a distributed team environment and solving problems with limited supervision</span></p><p><span>· Familiarity with any cloud computing platforms such as (vSphere, Hyper-v,KVM, and OpenStack) is a plus.</span></p><p><span>· Experience or familiarity with EPC is a plus.</span></p><p><span> </span></p><p><strong>Other skills and responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Operate and maintain the IP network delivering IP data, voice, and video to an assigned customer access network.</li><li>Ensure IP network support of new and existing services and features.</li><li>Extend all the necessary support for the second and third-tier escalations for all operational outages in the IP network.</li><li>Offer engineering solutions based on a thorough understanding of Data Network architecture, topology, and other configuration details.</li><li>Escalate problems quickly with thorough troubleshooting of all IP network issues.</li><li>Maintain a record of engineering solutions, such as LLD, HDL, and detailed integration test plan documents.</li><li>Conduct high-quality and comprehensive lab tests to prove the viability of proposed engineering solutions.</li><li>Use system, security, and network monitoring tools.</li><li>Possess experience in scripting network automation tools.</li><li>Basic understanding of SDN and willingness to work on SDN.</li></ul><p><span> </span></p><p><strong>Certifications and required experience:</strong></p><p><span>· At least two years’ experience as Senior Network Engineer or similar position.</span></p><p><span>· Positive, constructive, and open-minded attitude. Self-motivated to deliver projects and business tasks.</span></p><p><span>· Systematic problem-solving approach coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive.</span></p><p><span>· </span><strong>Must have CCNA/CCNP Routing and Switching.</strong></p><p><span>· </span><strong>English Proficiency is Mandatory.</strong></p><p><span>· CCNP SP is a plus.</span></p><p><span>· CCNA Security, PCNSA, or any other certificate or experience in Security is a Plus.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span> · </span><strong> Experience in System Administration is a plus.</strong></p><p><br></p>
