<p><strong>Role Description</strong></p><p>The Senior Naval Architect is a crucial role within the design team, responsible for leading and contributing to the development of exceptional and luxurious boat and yacht designs. Leveraging extensive experience and expertise in naval architecture, the Senior Naval Architect takes charge of creating innovative designs that align with client specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. The role encompasses technical design, project management, and providing guidance to junior team members.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p>Vessel Design and Analysis:</p><ul><li>Lead and actively participate in the design and development of vessels, considering critical factors such as hull form, stability, hydrodynamics, structural integrity, and propulsion systems.</li><li>Utilize advanced design software and tools to create detailed 3D models, and technical drawings.</li><li>Conduct comprehensive design analysis, including hydrostatics, resistance and powering calculations, and structural assessments, ensuring the yacht’s performance and safety.</li></ul><p>Project Management:</p><ul><li>Take charge of yacht design projects, including defining project goals, creating work plans, and overseeing project progress to ensure timely and successful completion.</li><li>Collaborate closely with clients, interior designers, yard, and other stakeholders to understand design requirements and ensure that design objectives are met.</li><li>Coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to integrate various design elements, such as interior layout, systems integration, and equipment placement.</li></ul><p>Technical Leadership and Mentorship:</p><ul><li>Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior naval architects and designers, supporting their professional growth and skill development.</li><li>Review and approve design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with industry standards.</li><li>Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and implementing best practices within the design team.</li></ul><p>Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:</p><ul><li>Stay updated with relevant industry regulations, classification society rules, and safety standards specific to yacht design.</li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards throughout the design process, including stability requirements, structural design codes, and safety considerations.</li></ul><p><br></p>
