<strong><u>Job Summary<br><br></u></strong>Candidate having a minimum 15 years experience working with fiscal and allocation Measurement Systems and a working knowledge of appropriate international standards. Supervise and review of reports developed by others, perform measurement system inspection and assessments, witnessing measurement activities and provide system improvement recommendations.<br><br><strong><u>Key Responsibilities<br></u></strong><ul><li>Responsible for the provision of the highest standards of engineering on flow measurement services to SGS clients within the Middle Eastern specific regions as directed.</li><li>Working individually, or as the senior member of a larger project team, contribute to and manage delivery of the department’s workload to ensure effective delivery of project activities within agreed timescales and budget and to meet client expectations and maximize revenue.</li><li>Review all final reports, Perform Assessments, Ad-Hoc activities, Certification witnessing activities and Provide recommendation for improvement.</li><li>Undertake consultancy assignments, mentored, and supervised by a more senior consultant where appropriate, and ensure objectives of the assignment are met within agreed timescale and budget to meet client expectations and maximize revenue.</li><li>Undertake site-based inspection, verification, and audit work as directed, to fulfill individual project requirements.</li><li>Develop and maintain essential metering and measurement skills through practice, guidance of peers, self-study, and external or on the job training to allow progression to a more senior role within the department.</li><li>At all times, adopt safe behavior by exercising due regard for the health and safety of yourself, colleagues, and clients, in line with the Company’s policies and procedures.</li><li>Commitment to nominated client measurement support teams for agreed periods of time</li><li>Ensure full compliance with the Company’s Code of Integrity &amp; Professional Conduct, and always adopt behavior in accordance with Equality &amp; Diversity policy.</li><li>Maintain organized and auditable systems of work in line with company QA procedures.</li><li>Manage personal workload to ensure effective delivery across multiple projects and assignments in line with agreed priorities and short-term objectives.</li><li>Continue to raise the profile of Measurement &amp; Calibration business through the provision of high-quality added value measurement services.<br></li></ul><strong><u>Minimum Requirements<br><br></u></strong><strong>Education/ Qualification : <br></strong><ul><li>Degree/ HND in Engineering or related science-based subject.</li><li>Practical experience in Oil &amp; Gas Industry including exposure to process engineering, measurement, or instrumentation domain.</li><li>Minimum 15 years’ experience of O&amp;G Measurement Systems.</li><li>Chartered/Incorporated Member of related institute.</li></ul> <strong>Experience: <br></strong><ul><li>Must have experience of working in a multi-disciplined, operational, engineering environment where core competencies and skills are routinely required and utilized.</li><li>Must be able to interface with internal / external clients and review, approve and provide detailed technical reports and feedback.</li><li>Must be able to demonstrate problem solving abilities from initial fault diagnosis through to corrective action and implementation.</li><li>Must be able to demonstrate effective communication and supervisory experience in an operational environment.</li><li>Minimum 15 years’ experience in Oil &amp; Gas operations covering measurement and instrumentation.</li><li>Have exposure to metering/measurement techniques covering oil, gas, water injection &amp; utilities.</li><li>Ability to plan, co-ordinate &amp; project manage various Projects &amp; Consultancy sectors.</li><li>Experience of preparing detailed procedures &amp; documentation. Knowledge of auditing procedures &amp; techniques would be desirable.</li></ul> <strong>Skills &amp; Knowledge:<br></strong><ul><li>Fully conversant in written and spoken English language. Multilingual lingual preferred.</li><li>Must have knowledge, understanding, and 15 years demonstrable experience of flow measurement and allocation principles, equipment, and methodologies.</li><li>Must have knowledge, understanding, and several years demonstrable experience of hydrocarbon measurement and analysis equipment and associated sample conditioning systems.</li><li>Must have knowledge, understanding, and several years demonstrable practical experience of routine maintenance, calibration, and proving activities.</li><li>Must have demonstrable knowledge and understanding of international oil and gas standards.</li><li>Must have understanding and demonstrable experience of developing measurement uncertainty calculations.</li><li>Computer literate in use of MS Office packages.</li><li>Possess a high level of presentation/ communication skills.</li></ul> <strong>Current Challenges &amp; Opportunities:<br></strong><ul><li> Develop knowledge and understanding of measurement first principles. </li><li> Develop and maintain knowledge of industry developments, advances, and regulatory compliance. </li><li> Develop relationships with new clients and operators in target region. </li><li> Prepare and deliver measurement training courses. </li><li> Provide direction to metering engineers and technicians as required. </li><li> Broaden experience and application of API/ISO/AGA/GPA/EI/OIML measurement standards. </li><li> Progress towards recognized formal engineering or related qualification as required</li></ul>
