In this role, you will be responsible for implementing APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) into our New Product Introduction process, ensuring the optimal mix of suppliers/components and materials for the best new product launches and ongoing production. Your expertise in APQP processes, supplier management, and procurement strategies will be crucial in driving product quality and meeting project milestones.<br><br><strong>What will you be doing?<br><br></strong><ul><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Production, to ensure alignment on APQP requirements and timelines.</li><li>Develop and implement effective procurement strategies in the NPI program, ensuring the timely availability of materials and components while maintaining cost targets.</li><li>Manage and coordinate APQP activities throughout the procurement process, ensuring adherence to project schedules and customer expectations.</li><li>Review and assess supplier plans, identifying potential risks, and taking proactive measures to mitigate them.</li><li>Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier consolidation while maintaining high product quality standards.</li><li>Monitor and report on APQP progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders and addressing any issues that may impact project timelines.</li><li>Develop strong relationships with suppliers, promoting effective communication and collaboration, and execute corrective action plans when quality or delivery issues arise.</li><li>Coordinate with suppliers to obtain accurate and competitive pricing, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier agreements.</li><li>Monitor supplier performance against established key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring compliance with quality, delivery, and cost requirements.</li><li>Identify and assess potential risks in the supply chain, such as supplier capacity constraints, single-source dependencies, or geopolitical factors.</li><li>Implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize the impact of supply disruptions on project timelines.</li><li>Monitor market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes, providing recommendations on procurement strategies to mitigate risks and maximize opportunities.<br><br></li></ul><strong><span>Who are we looking for?<br><br></span></strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
