Job Description
<br><p><strong>General Description </strong></p><p><br></p><p>A legal consultant is a professional who provides expert advice and guidance to clients on legal matters. They work within a law firm, assisting clients with legal issues such as contracts, negotiations, and litigation. Legal consultants typically have a deep understanding of the law and its application to various industries and situations. They may also provide legal research and analysis, draft legal documents such as contracts and agreements, and represent clients in legal proceedings.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p><br></p><p><span>• </span>Reviewing and drafting contracts, legal opinions, and legal notices, of all natures and kinds, including bilingual contracts. </p><p>• Drafting Wills, Powers of Attorney, Vetting reports, etc. </p><p>• Meeting with clients, whether existing or new clients. </p><p>• Ensure that every assignment is only sent to the client after review by the Head of the Legal consultation department and/or the team (as required).</p><p>• Translation of documents.</p><p>• Strong understanding of the UAE Laws and preparing the latest legal updates for clients. </p><p>• Arranging and conducting seminars, concerning client-required legal developments or the latest legal developments.</p><p>• Conducting full research about the new Laws in the UAE.</p><p>• Preparation of proposals, retainers, letters of engagement, etc. </p><p>• Support and advise clients with company formation and set up in the UAE (Mainland, Free Zones, and Offshore), including company license cancellation and liquidation.</p><p>• Excellent communication skills (Spoken, Written & Reading) in English.</p><p>• Outstanding legal drafting skills in English. </p><p>• The above-stated job description covers major duties but is not limited to these.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>Bachelor’s degree in Law from an accredited university</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Work Experience Requirements </strong></p><p><br></p><p>• Minimum of 7 to 10 years of legal work experience in UAE is required.</p><p>• Demonstrated work experience as a senior legal consultant or in a similar role is necessary.</p><p>• English proficiency is a requirement.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Skills </strong></p><p><br></p><p>• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft high-quality legal documents in English.</p><p>• Excellent knowledge and understanding of UAE Laws</p><p>• Able to multi-task effectively, including having good planning and organizing skills, and producing high-quality results under time pressure.</p><p>• A team worker, able to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues across the organization.</p><p>• Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies</p><p>• Strong and clearly evidenced analytical skills, with the ability to assess law and public policy, identify key legal duty-bearers, and develop innovative legal solutions.</p><p>• Professional fluency in English is required.</p>
