Job Description

Job Purpose:

To partake in the implementation of design and maintenance of the MIS applications to support business activities providing high availability standards to end users assuring the effective implementation and continuous development of effective policy, strategy and plans that are aligned with QIG’s strategic direction while assuring compliance with applicable statutory requirements, with consistent delivery of results and continual commitment to excellence, innovation, governance and best practice for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Partake in the implementation of designing the MIS application by providing high availability standards to end-users in the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.
  • Hands-on SAP ERP implementation experience in PP/QM & SD/MM/WM modules.
  • Strong proficiency in designing and configuring business processes within respective modules.
  • Minimum of three SAP turnkey project experiences with at least one in the manufacturing, preferred Cement Industry.
  • Expertise in creating RICEFW objects and functional specifications based on business requirements.
  • End-to-end implementation experience of new product processes, covering production to sales.
  • Configuration knowledge of various business processes, including PP/QM, MM, WM, SD, process level validations, process Master data, legacy data handling, Release Procedures, Z-Reports, and business-specific checks and validations.
  • Proficiency in handling regular and breakdown maintenance processes, including preventive and unplanned maintenance, work order management, and master data activities.
  • Experience in implementing & modifying workflows and Enhancement of product price controls.
  • Proficiency in Inventory Management activities, including Goods Receipt, Goods Issue, Stock Transfer, and Transfer Posting.
  • Exposure to SAP S/4 HANA migration processes and projects.
  • Assist in the overall maintenance of the applications in the area(s) within the scope of responsibility to support business activities.
  • Assist in developing processes and associated procedures that ensure the smooth running of operations for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.
  • Partake in required inspections and tests in line with the approved policy, procedures, and any other applicable standards for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.
  • Ensure that SAP or relevant ERP systems and respective functional processes are safeguarded and maintained.
  • Perform troubleshooting to facilitate uninterrupted operations in the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.
  • Partake in the development and implementation of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) that effectively monitor performance against targets in the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.
  • Assist in preparation of the annual budget for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility in support of the business plan, other operational activities, and statutory requirements.
  • Identify, design and propose improvement initiatives based on current performance and/or future requirements and oversee their implementation for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.
  • Effectively liaise with relevant internal and external concerned parties to assure the timely and optimal execution of the plans for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.
  • Maintain up-to-date global trends and technological advancements knowledge for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.
  • Effectively monitor the safe functioning of systems and other related devices within the area(s) of responsibility and assure the immediate reporting of incidents and potential hazards.
  • Conduct investigation(s) of the root causes of technical issues and propose appropriate preventive measures in the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.
  • Ensure adherence to government regulations and relevant statutory requirements.
  • Perform data analysis and prepare timely and accurate reports in the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.
  • Observe QHSSE and occupational H&S Best-Practices guidelines and/or approved applicable policies and procedures for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.
  • Perform any relevant additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the superior(s).

Skills

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or equivalent.

A Master’s Degree is beneficial.

Experience:

04-08 years of experience, depending on academic qualification in a similar field

Professional Training:

Professional training and certifications in Project Management, SAP Production & Logistics Modules are essential.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of all aspects of SAP systems.
  • Knowledge of data migration tools such as LSMW and BDC for data uploads.
  • Knowledge of ICT Best Practice and applicable statutory requirements.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with Integrated ERP Systems (SAP is preferred)
  • Fluent in English. Arabic is beneficial.
