Job Purpose<br><br>Provides technical advice and guidance on all related maintenance works. Supervises the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and modification activities carried out on a wide range of mechanical equipment in the plant to ensure smooth execution of the projects. Participates in the planning and implementation of all systems modifications, expansion and installation of the projects.<br><br>Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)<br><ul><li> Reviews preventive maintenance plans / schedules and preparation of task list / maintenance programmes for mechanical equipment in the plant, using equipment past performance and manufacturers data and supervises the execution of such programmes.</li><li> Prepares detailed equipment check lists for routine maintenance. Monitors and follows up major maintenance work to keep abreast of conditions and to advice on spare part replacement, modifications or refurbishment.</li><li> Reviews shutdown job lists and preparation of contract scope of work preparation, co-ordination with contractors and work supervision. Participates in testing and start-up of equipment upon completion of work. Carries out more complex fault finding, diagnosis and repair of equipment.</li><li> Provides guidance and advice on actions to be taken on chronic problems, and reviews requirement for major repair and spares replacements.</li><li> Carries out troubleshooting of chronic failures and gives repair and test procedures. Ensures that all mechanical maintenance services are provided safely and efficiently in accordance with internationally recognised engineering standard.</li><li> Deals with emergency requirements immediately, allocating resources providing technical advice and checking work at various stages.</li><li> Provides engineering assistance to other Divisions in the Mechanical design and specification of modifications or new equipment installations and projects. Technically reviews bids for the supply of the new equipment. Liaises with manufacturer’s representatives as required in the installation, commissioning and post commissioning periods, to discuss and rectify any equipment deficiency.</li><li> Liaises with Reliability/Inspection Section to arrange for and follows up on physical testing and inspection of modification and/or new installations.</li><li> Reviews annual requirements for mechanical materials, spare parts and equipment, advises on stock levels and material descriptions, and provides suggestions for alternatives or inter-changeability of parts with other equipment.<br><br></li></ul>Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 2)<br><br>Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 3)<br><br>Generic Accountabilities<br><br><strong>Supervision<br><br></strong><ul><li> Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.</li><li> Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Budgets<br><br></strong><ul><li> Provide input for preparation of the functional budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.</li><li> Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control<br><br></li></ul><strong>Policies, Systems, Processes &amp; Procedures<br><br></strong><ul><li> Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section’s / Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Performance Management<br><br></strong><ul><li> Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the function in line with the Company Performance framework.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Innovation and Continuous Improvement<br><br></strong><ul><li> Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.</li><li> Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best Industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability<br><br></strong><ul><li> Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures &amp; controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Reports<br><br></strong><ul><li> Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.<br><br></li></ul>Generic Accountabilities (continue)<br><br>Internal Communications &amp; Working Relationships<br><br>Contact with line Manager/ peers and other employees within the company/Group as required<br><br>External Communications &amp; Working Relationships<br><br>Contact with external parties including consultants, third party service providers, and government agencies as required<br><br>Minimum Qualification<br><br>Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.<br><br><strong>Minimum Experience, Knowledge &amp; Skills<br><br></strong>8 years of experience n Mechanical Engineering/Operations/Production etc<br><br>Professional Certifications<br><br>As applicable<br><br>Work Condition, Physical effort &amp; Work Environment<br><br><strong>Physical Effort<br><br></strong>Minimal<br><br><strong>Work Environment<br><br></strong>A/C environment, could be exposed to the prevailing weather conditions like heat, humidity &amp; dust during occasional site visits.<br><br>Additional Details<br><br>Job Family / Sub Family: Technical Services/Engineering Services<br><br><strong>17147</strong>
