Job DescriptionWith the recent award of a WWTP project in Qatar, we are now looking for a Senior Odour Engineer to join our site team.
This role will be part of the core project design team, supporting the Project Director.
Candidate Specification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical from an accredited University with Professional Qualifications from a recognized International Institution
- Extensive post-graduate experience, and in design management capacity of similar works including STW, Pump station and multi-disciplinary works.
- Must have experience in managing, reviewing and approving of design documents and drawings associated with the screening and transfer of flows in sewage pumping stations and STWs other associated process type buildings.
- Must be able to demonstrate the following key skills:
- a. design knowledge of pumping stations and various equipment used in STWs
- b. Detailed knowledge of mechanical specifications and datasheets
- c. Detailed knowledge operation and maintenance requirements of mechanical equipment
- d. Design for mechanical plant
- e. Pipe line design and hydraulic calculations
- Peer review mechanical contract documents, calculations & reports
- Review, comment I recommend acceptance or otherwise of related Project Company’s submissions.
- Detailed knowledge of testing and commissioning (FAT & SAT)
- Must be able to review, verify, comment, monitor and provide the No Objection recommendations for the Inspections, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning Plan submitted by the Project Company.
- Performance of actual design duties and other related duties when directed.
- Must have extensive experience in reviewing and verifying all reviewable data set out in the PPPA to confirm compliance with the technical specifications, Applicable Law, Relevant Performance Standards, Approvals and Good Industry Practice.
- Experience in commissioning of the mechanical installations, and for the witnessing of acceptance tests by all concerned parties and government departments.
