Sr. Demand Planner
to join our team for an exciting opportunity supporting the USAID NexGen Global Health Supply Chain Program as Integrated Procurement Service Agent (PSA). This is a full-time position based in Dubai, UAE that will accommodate a hybrid remote/office work schedule. The Sr. Demand Planner will work under the direct supervision of the Sr. Procurement and Logistics Manager as an integral part of the Procurement team in the achievement of the PSA objectives, ensuring the products from its category are forecasted, sourced, ordered and delivered on time for the fulfilment of the clients’ orders. Must be a highly organized self-starter capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-discipline team environment with the ability to manage competing priorities to achieve goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Developing effective forecast models based on industry trends, demand patterns and client material/order plans.

Proposing and implementing solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy, estimating future demand for an organization’s products or services and analyzing inventory flow to build forecasting models.

Conduct regular forecast maintenance.

Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management.

Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.

Supporting management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.

Work with leaders within the organization to ensure effective supply to consumers based on future demand of products and/or services.

May provide guidance, orientation and training to less experienced team members.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field from an accredited university, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.

Minimum 5 years of experience in demand planning and supply chain management.

Excellent written and oral English Language and any other foreign language.

Required Skills/Training/Competencies

Proven work experience as a Demand Planner or a similar role.

Relevant training and/or certifications as a Demand Planner.

Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.

Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.

High competency level in use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, as a minimum).

Experience in the use of an ERP and Demand Planning System.

Ability to work productively in high-paced environment, keeping emotions under control in difficult situations, maintaining positive outlook at work, accepting constructive criticism and learning from it.
