Senior Database Administrator
Job Description
<p>We are looking for a dynamic, talented, and proactive Senior Database Administrator who will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our company’s databases. </p><p>Your role as a Senior DBA will also include analyzing and optimizing our database systems’ performance and utilization, as well as collaborating and coordinating with cross-functional teams in enhancing and deploying database-related technologies and processes. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Reponsibilities and Duties:</strong></p><ul><li>Administer, monitor, and maintain the company’s database systems to ensure maximum performance, availability, and security.</li><li>Design, implement, and maintain database backup and recovery procedures.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance problems, replication, and synchronization.</li><li>Develop and maintain database security policies and procedures.</li><li>Collaborate with other teams to develop, test, and deploy database-related projects and changes.</li><li>Analyze and optimize database performance and capacity utilization.</li><li>Identify and implement improvements to database-related processes and technologies.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience as a DBA Engineer.</li><li>Experience with database management systems such as MySQL, and SQL Server is needed.</li><li>Experience in Cloud-based Database systems is an asset. </li><li>Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and administration.</li><li>Proficiency in database tuning, backup and recovery, and performance optimization.</li><li>Experience with database security, including authentication and access control.</li><li>Knowledge of database replication and synchronization technologies.</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills.</li></ul>
