Working on both the African and international scales, our team consists of over 100 multidisciplinary consultants (consultants in digital transformation, developers, project managers, data and cyber security experts) working on enriching and innovative projects.<br><br>Working at Devoteam encompasses:<br><ul><li>Appreciating our partners’ expertise in technologies such as Google, Microsoft, AWS, ServiceNow, and Salesforce, which we use to implement solutions for our clients.</li><li>Evolving within an international organization that supports your career development with tailored training and certification programs.</li><li>Joining a specialized team, accompanied(ed) by a local manager who will advise you in your decisions and encourage interactions with your pairings.</li><li>Growing in a company that challenges its teams by being nimble and ambitious, adapting to individual and collective success.</li></ul> <br> <br><strong>Job Description<br><br></strong>We are looking for somebody who is autonomous, passionate about new technologies and willing to help lead in all aspects of requirements specifications, design and development.<br><ul><li>Design and implement kubernetes based data processing products.</li><li>Implement tools and processes to manage databases (timescaledb), streaming (Kafka) based applications.</li><li>Expert knowledge of Spark Streaming python and scala.</li><li>Create and maintain documentation of the platform and processes.</li><li>Implement and optimise platform configurations for security, cost and performance.</li><li>Coordinate with and contribute to libraries of open source projects such as Istio, Envoy, Argo workflows, Helm charts, etc.</li></ul> <br> <br><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong>Educational background from computer science or similar field:<br><ul><li>Experience with Spark python and Scala.</li><li>Experience with Kafka.</li><li>Experience with Kubernetes (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS/ACS).</li><li>Experience with microservices and deploying data products at scale.</li><li>Experience with at least one configuration management tool such as Terraform, Puppet, Ansible.</li><li>Experience with working in a Data Engineering team, incl. knowledge of the GitOPS process and best practices travis-ci, jenkins.<br><br><br></li></ul>In addition, the following knowledge is considered as a plus:<br><ul><li>Working knowledge of structured and unstructured Data.</li><li>Working knowledge of languages like Python, Scala, R.</li><li>Working knowledge of Distributed systems and Big Data technologies Hadoop, Spark, Hive.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Good knowledge of cloud GCP (AWS and Azure) is a plus<br></strong> <br> <br><strong>Additional Information<br><br></strong>Personal qualities:<br><ul><li>You are collaborative and open to new ideas & needs.</li><li>You are innovative, self-starting with an inner drive to always improve.</li><li>You are willing to take risks and to test and fail fast.</li><li>You have good communication skills.</li><li>You enjoy working in a diverse and ambitious environment.</li><li>Ability to live by our safety and security expectation.</li></ul>
