Senior Data Engineer
Job Description
<p>Qeema is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to be working in Saudi Arabia.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge of Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration.</li><li>Knowledge of databases like (MS-SQL, MySQL) and NoSQL</li><li>Knowledge of Hadoop echosystem, Spark, Hive, and HDFS. Elasticsearch is a plus.</li><li>Knowledge of Kafka, Flink. Druid is a plus.</li><li>Programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, Groovy, and Bash.</li><li>Processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data, including integrating data from multiple sources.</li><li>Knowledge of data cleaning, wrangling, visualization, and reporting, with an understanding of the best, most efficient use of associated tools and applications to complete these tasks.</li><li>Knowledge with open-source technologies and cloud services.</li><li>A willingness to explore new alternatives or options to solve data issues, and utilize a combination of industry best practices, data innovations</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to explain protocol and processes with team and management.</li><li>Solid troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems.</li><li>Knowledge of Current with industry trends, IT ops, industry best practices, and able to identify the ones we should implement.</li><li>Time and project management skills, with the capability to prioritize and multitask as needed.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer Engineering.</li><li>Excellent command of written and spoken English.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>1–3 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.</li><li>Excellent knowledge of dimensional data modeling and data warehousing.</li><li>Good knowledge of big data tools and echo systems, like Cloudera, Kafka, Nifi, and Spark</li><li>Good communication skills.</li><li>Nationality (Egyptian)</li></ul><p><br></p>
