Description du poste

At Rexel, we make our teams more successful by becoming a data driven company through the systematic adoption of predictive and advanced analytics. As we accelerate this transformation, we open a new position of Senior Data DevOps in our Data & Integration Technologies Team. He/she will have the primary responsibility of automating the Azure DevOps and Data ETL pipelines. You will contribute to the integrated planning, design, and implementation of the solutions focusing on data services in large and complex environments. He/she is key in establishing a close link between the DevOps team, Service Managers, Product Owners and Tech Leads for all existing projects.

1) You manage to work on a variety of projects flexibly, in which you’ll: – Engage with the stakeholders to resolve challenges and deliver value by understanding their data needs. – Automate different portions of the data pipeline & data services to improve data usability and value. – Set-up and drive key meetings with DevOps team, Tech Leads, Product Owners, service managers and communicate clear path forward.

2) You have strong technical skills, including: – Work and design Azure DevOps solutions to automate the ETL pipelines. – Optimize existing processes including DevOps CI/CD and cloud services automation. – Understand Azure and DB administration well. – Good knowledge of data modelling and SQL query. – Perform root cause analysis for production issues.

3) You demonstrate understanding and application of best practices and methodologies, or equivalent, such as: – DevOps automation, Service and Content Governance, Performance optimization.

Qualifications

– Capacity to focus on value creation in transformation / moving context. – Capacity to establish rapidly in role and understand rapidly the solution and the deployment methodology. – Capacity to work effectively with multiple stakeholders, especially to make the link between business and data citizens

Typically holds an engineering master. – 6 + years professional experience – Ideally rolled-out large-scale BI & Data projects – Working experience remotely is mandatory – Previous experience as a consultant can be an asset

Hard skills Expert in Information Technology systems – Expertise in Azure DevOps and Azure Data Services ex. Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL server. – Good knowledge of Azure Administration. – Good knowledge of SQL and DB administration. – Good knowledge of ETL pipeline design. – Good knowledge of PowerShell script. – Experience working with dimensionally modeled data. – Knowledge of Snowflake/ Synapse/ Azure Purview/ Data Governance is a plus. – Fluent English. Soft skills Excellent leadership skills with experience collaborating with cross-functional teams – Ability to drive – good influencing skills and lead without formal power and line authority Ability and seniority to challenge country business teams regarding existing processes – good communication skills and inquisitive – curious and able to work together with country teams to design together simple and efficient ways of working Pragmatic and capable of solving complex issues when translating business operations into data scientist constraints – Can make the complex simple by applying creativity and effort – can manage different departments constraints for the benefit of Rexel’s clients and teams Ability to drive change, to onboard business teams – speaks the language of the business – Loves what he/she does and is happy letting others see this and strives to use his/her passion positively to achieve results, to engage others and to keep him/herself and team motivated. – understands change management dynamics and methods
