KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

Key Responsibilities

  • Define Fast Track works scope and techniques to achieve the project deliverables 
  • Leading the Contractual and Commercial Teams 
  • Meet the financial objects of the projects and manage the budgets  
  • Proven ability to manage multiple contracts/ multiple contractors in parallel 
  • Monitor and report progress on all projects to all stakeholders 
  • Coordinate engineering disciplines to ensure correct and coordinated design documentation 
  • Coordinate, meet and obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors 
  • Resolve cost issue and disputed in conjunction with the commercial team 
  • Works with the Project Scheduler to define achievable and fast track deliverables and confirm the critical path items 
  • Prepare design briefs, scope of work, RFP documents for design consultants 
  • Work closely and effectively with the Urban Planning Department and other divisions within NEOM to ensure that developed master plans that are technically feasible. 
  • Prepare strategies for projects packaging upon the readiness of the concept master planning stage  
  • Ensure that designs are completed according to time and budget. 
  • Apply a full sustainable approach in the review and approval of design objectives, landscape architecture and engineering. Promote initiatives in sustainable development  
  • Develop, in conjunction with Design Consultant Firms, design plans in response to technical problems posed by a project’s scope.  
  • Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard urban design techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications on projects. 
  • Ensure timely delivery of designs and the quality construction thereof by utilizing design technics and thorough constructability reviews. 
  • Communicate design modifications and implementation of additional clients’ requests to design and construction teams. 
  • Facilitate innovative multi-disciplinary workshops and coordinating design development with internal and external design and engineering teams. 

BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills  and Experience

  • Proven qualification in project management with an engineering degree  
  • Minimum twenty-five (20) years of working experience and a least five (5) within Saudi Arabia 
  • Significant experience in construction industry on large projects in challenging environments 
  • Knowledge of both technical and practical aspects of project management 
  • Undertake technical sustainability investigations and design discipline coordination to optimize design and generate efficiencies. 
  • Manage the full Construction lifecycle, through procurement, execution and smooth transition into sustainable operation & planned maintenance. 
  • Lead and manage appropriate staff in the tender and award of packaged works, evaluation bids, contract terms and certify payment applicationsProven experience of people management Proven ability to deliver projects in a fast track manner and ensuring the quality required within the allocated budgets 
  • Proven track record in directing and managing fast track project teams including problem solving, risk management, change order management Health and Safety
