Job Description

Responsible for processing of Repair Orders and other documentation work inclusive of preliminary inspection and handling of unserviceable aircraft parts for shipment to various Repair Agencies. Assist in maintaining Modification Control System and Technical Records data in Engineering Maintenance Planning and Control Systems (EMPACS) and call up applicable modifications on all parts in order to ensure up to-date records. Job Outline: – Carry out preliminary examination of the Unserviceable (U/S) tag accompanying the removed aircraft part and compare with physical particulars to reduce deviations, rectification of errors and initiate data updates. – Check for applicable warranties and guarantees via EMPACS and raise relevant paperwork for further processing while simultaneously accounting for physical location of aircraft part. – Sort and segregate the U/S components and their relevant documentations with unit price of below US$ 2000.00 in order to facilitate inspection by Repair Engineer for further action. – Update the system of current component status and distribute paperwork raised (like Repair Orders, Warranty Claim Forms, Maintenance messages, Modification Requests etc.,) to appropriate sections for further monitoring and action. – Segregate and hold in quarantine all expendables and low value repairables received for Component Repair Engineer’s disposal. – Perform data entry of all Powerplant modifications incorporated to maintain an up-to-date Powerplant Modification Control System and continuously update the engine technical records in EMPACS to ensure the permitted life of engine parts are not overrun that will affect airworthiness requirements – Carry out log-in/log-out transactions in EMPACS for all In-house Repair Orders in order to maintain their history. – Maintain records of all Repair Orders in order to monitor their repair costs, Repair Turn Around Time (RTAT) and invoice processing. – Raise and process Scrap Notes for management approval for parts scrapped In-house or out-of-house Repair facilities. – Provide necessary materials support to In-house workshops including pre loading of spares and tooling requirements for accomplishment of Special Engineering Work Card and Engineering Order to ensure components under repair and/or modification are completed within the Repair Turn around Time (RTAT) or specified time.
