With unique experience in digital transformation and cloud innovation for organizations across different industry sectors.</p><br><p>Forte Cloud is expanding rapidly in the region launching its latest new offices in UAE & KSA and we are looking to grow our amazing team!</p><br><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><br><p>The Senior Cloud Operations Engineer will be a part of our growing cloud Managed Services team and will be in charge of operating and managing different types of customer workloads on the cloud. He will be responsible for activities such as cloud infrastructure services provisioning, OS administration, and maintaining overall landscape health. As a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be expected to follow best practices in different aspects of the cloud including networks, security, automation, and scalability. A deep understanding of cloud solution architecture, cloud implementation and migration projects is required. In addition, part of the roleβ―will include working with microservices architecture, CI/CD infrastructure tools, and techniques.</p><br><p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><br><ul><br><li>Responsible for meeting service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) for all cloud managed services operations.</li><br><li>Handle all customer service and change requests in areas such as infrastructure, operating system, DevOps, security, and others.</li><br><li>Follow ITIL best practices while dealing with incidents, service requests, event management, problem management, and other problems.</li><br><li>Use cloud computing best practices to deploy and manage various workloads in the cloud.</li><br><li>Create automation scripts to deploy and manage applications and solutions on the cloud in all life cycle stages, practicing IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, DaaS and GitOps best practices.</li><br><li>Act as a trusted advisor for the client in all aspects related to cloud operations.</li><br><li>Contribute to the wider DevOps practice through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and collaboration.</li><br><li>Create, update, and maintain FORTE CLOUD knowledge base.</li><br><li>The role requires rotating shifts, and therefore, the working hours will consist of 8 hours that might fall outside normal working hours.</li><br></ul><br><p><strong>Qualifications & Experience</strong></p><br><p>We are looking for self-driven, motivated, results oriented, ambitious individuals who are intellectually curious with a genuine passion for excellence in cloud managed services delivery. </p><br><p>You’ll ideally have the following:</p><br><ul><br><li>Bachelors (or equivalent degree level) education in a technology field.</li><br><li>4+ years of experience in infrastructure operations and system administration with at least 2 years of focus on cloud services and migrations.</li><br><li>Solid understanding of cloud principles and services, as well as how to run various workloads on the cloud.</li><br><li>Excellent troubleshooting and innovative problem-solving abilities, as well as the ability to act quickly.</li><br><li>Strong hands-on technical experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash).</li><br><li>Strong knowledge of different ITIL processes.</li><br><li>Previous experience with Atlassian and JIRA products is preferred.</li><br><li>Strong experience in Windows & Linux administration, performance monitoring and debugging.</li><br><li>Experience in server, and application-status monitoring using cloud native tools or 3rd party.</li><br><li>Working knowledge of different database engines.</li><br><li>Understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery and other business continuity solutions.</li><br><li>Experience with open-source technologies is a plus.</li><br><li>Experience working with cloud native tools with a technical aptitude for understanding complex cloud infrastructure architecture.</li><br><li>Knowledge of networking, security, and virtual hosting technologies.</li><br><li>Good familiarity with microservice architectures and best practices for running in a container orchestration environment.</li><br><li>Good understanding of Containers, Docker, and Kubernetes.</li><br><li>Experience with CI/CD orchestration tools for release and deployment.</li><br><li>At least 2x of public cloud certifications from AWS, Azure or GCP.</li><br><li>A proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives.</li><br><li>Ability to respond and react to internal and external requests.</li><br><li>Clearly communicate & set expectations.</li><br><li>Demonstrates highest level of detail orientation and organizational skills.</li><br><li>Demonstrates a sense of urgency to attain and exceed desired results. </li><br><li>Operates in a cooperative and collaborative spirit to achieve shared goals across multiple functions.</li><br><li>Being proactive and driven learning new emerging Cloud capabilities and other disruptive technologies.</li><br></ul><br><p><strong>Desired Languages</strong></p><br><ul><br><li>Fluent in English & Arabic (Speaking & Writing)</li><br></ul><br><p><strong>Job Location & Travel Requirements</strong></p><br><ul><br><li>This job is in Cairo, Egypt</li><br><li>This job does not require travel. </li><br></ul><br><p><strong>What we offer</strong></p><br><ul><br><li>A competitive remuneration package.</li><br><li>The chance to be part of a rapidly growing team where you will be working closely with market experts.</li><br><li>A great culture with a friendly and passionate team. </li><br><li>The opportunity to learn and develop your skills & expertise.</li><br></ul><br><p>We thank all applicants; however only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.
