Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Project Delivery Design Team(s) in day to day BIM implementation activities
  • Provide progress and performance updates on fortnightly and monthly basis. 3) Record, store and maintain all formal correspondences related to BIM activities
  • Support the deployment (hardware and software) and provide hands-on BIM software training for Project team members
  • Develop and extract 2D geometry from the models for internal reviews and coordination meetings
  • Ensure Project Information Model (PIM) are delivered in accordance with the agreed TIDP, MIDP and CDE protocol
  • Develop and maintain Quality Assurance and Control templates following the organization’s and Projects quality procedures and the Project’s BIM production methods and standards
  • Develop and maintain object libraries and catalogues based on the agreed LOD matrix
  • Measure and ensure the highest quality for all BIM package submissions in accordance with Project standards and requirements
  • Perform Quality Assurance and Control checks on models and maintain tracker (both hard and soft copies) to confirm geometrical and non-geometrical information compliance with the Project’s design and BIM requirements
  • Review, monitor and report on the development of clash interference and fully coordinated models
  • Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs
  • Prepare own discipline model and/or content for internal reviews and coordination meetings
  • Supervise the BIM modelers, collaborate and coordinate with the Design Team design-changes and model challenges
  • Prepare models and reports for constructability analysis
  • Validate and export model geometry and data to schedules for internal design and commercial activities

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE:

  • Possess excellent oral communication skills with an ability to form effective relationships with Project Delivery Team, Client (Appointing Party), and Contractor (Lead Appointed Party) under time pressure

EDUCATION & TRAINING:

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Ideally 7 years experience in Design or Construction
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in in modelling and drafting, either from a Consultant or
  • Contractor Environment on Infrastructure Project(s)
