Department Definition<p><br></p><p>Expo Dubai Group has been established to preserve, manage and take forward the vast intangible legacy of Expo 2020 Dubai.</p><p><br></p><p>Empowered by the insight and experience gained in the delivery of the most inclusive and sustainable World Expo in history, and born of a commitment to true international collaboration, EDG leverages a global network of partners and a wealth of intellectual and digital content, programmes and experiences in service of the challenges of our time.</p><p><br></p><p>EDG works across three interconnected and interdependent pillars: the habitats we design and build (City Advisory), the communities and networks we bring together (Programmes and Events Advisory) and the stories we share with one another (Creative Advisory).</p><p><br></p>Opportunity Responsibilities<p><br></p><p>The purpose of the Senior Associate, Programme role is to support and coordinate projects, and actively contribute to the design and implementation of the Group’s substantive programming</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The main responsibilities for the role include:</strong></p><p><strong>Strategic Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Ensure that programme planning is executed upon seamlessly.</li><li>Use demonstrable attention to detail and organisational skill to work in partnership with the programme and events teams, to join all the content and event delivery timelines and details together seamlessly</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Operational Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Assist with planning and coordination of programmes and their activities.</li><li>Monitor implementation of programme policies and practices.</li><li>Work to keep programmes on schedule, within stated budgets and functioning smoothly.</li><li>Support programme growth and development as necessary</li><li>Track billing, payments and other financial transactions</li><li>Schedule and organize meetings and events</li><li>Oversee the use of technology for programme operations, such as video conferencing technology, presentation software and other communications technologies.</li><li>Liaise and manage communication with counterparts across the Expo City Dubai ecosystem.</li><li>Support the development and dissemination of the department’s public facing content (such as reports, event outputs, PPP Wiki, etc.).</li><li>Quality control of database, documentation and all forms of content produced by the team.</li><li>Contribute to the development of a range of project functions as requested by Director/project leads, such as: content and programming development.</li><li>Support the department’s engagement with the Group’s extended network and proactively identify new touch points/opportunities for renewed engagement.</li><li>Conduct research and analysis to support to the Director and team leads on new ideas and initiatives for programming, event and stakeholder engagement.</li><li>Draft presentations, prepare analysis and synthesis of content, data visualisation (graphs / tables), deliver insights and produce reports where requested.</li><li>Contribute to the design and implementation of effective practices to enhance the daily operations of the department, aligning schedules with priorities, preparing for meetings, conducting necessary follow-up, managing internal and external stakeholders etc.</li><li>Support the Director and other senior management in assigned focus areas (including international cooperation portfolio, research within context of WFE-Climate, outreach, etc.).<br></li></ul>Skills<p><br></p><p>2+ years or more of experience in project management support and coordination; research and analysis support as well as:</p><p><br></p><ul><li><strong>Structured thinking</strong>: identifies gaps and overlapping elements; structure programmes/ideas/initiatives from scratch</li><li><strong>Implementation</strong>: develops robust implementation plan for programmes/ideas/initiatives proactively or upon guidance from Content and Event lead</li><li><strong>Research</strong>: quickly identifies the right data sources; picks up relevant information, and synthesize complex and confounding information into simple insights</li><li><strong>Reporting</strong>: produces succinct reports in PowerPoint and Word, including data visualizations; applies editing, proof-reading and finds relevant imagery</li><li><strong>Analytics</strong>: uses quantitative and qualitative methods, structures Excel file, cleans data, and produces reports. Comfortable with basic data operations (e.g. Pivot tables, data visualization and formatting).</li><li><strong>Presentation and composure</strong>: comfortable presenting in front of higher management; positive interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>Diplomatic and discreet</li></ul>
