Job Description

Manages and delivers high value complex multi-disciplinary projects, working directly with the Associate Director and Director levels. Lead key client accounts.

Provides design and technical direction on projects to ensure high quality of design work across all projects.

Be a technical lead for large-scale projects with a strong capability to coordinate multiple disciplines and communicate such requirements.

Leads client and project meetings. Independently manages client expectations and deliverables to ensure alignment with contracted scope. Leads and facilitates key client workshops and board of directors/CEO’s presentations.

Lead Verifier with complete review of projects.

Leads COMPETITION submissions.

Plans and conducts design and creative review sessions for ongoing projects and competitions.

Encourages the development of innovative design efforts through workshops, regular design / CREATIVE REVIEWS for projects.

Manages implementation of feedback through ‘Lessons learnt’ to ensure continuous improvement of teams’ collective skillset.

Provides leadership on delivering design projects to site. Ensures site team consists of the appropriate resources to provide design, technical and site-based support.

Conducts regular and scheduled internal project reviews based on design appropriateness, technical accuracy and buildability, construction budget and overall package quality and thoroughness.

Manages financials for the projects as Project Managers.

Leads and manages multi-disciplinary bids and proposals and establishes winning themes and defining differentiators. Understands pricing and qualification aspects and establish price winning strategies.

Leads business development/marketing efforts for the landscape team with a focus on winning new work.

Ensures Projects sheets and project templates are prepared for marketing presentations.

Attends weekly TEAM RESOURCING MEETINGS and discuss resourcing and key issues on all projects within the team. Contributes to the short term and long-term resource planning by managing projects resource requirement and coordinate/resolve with other peers’ conflicts.

Contributes to the recruitment process to fill in gaps in skills and resources and is responsible for the continuous growth of the team.

Leads on thought leaderships presentation and design dialogues for benefit of wider team.

Helps staff develop additional skillsets and experience on projects within the studio.

Manages people career path and growth and establish plans for short- and long-term development goals.
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture.

Masters degree preferred. Professional membership such as ASLA, Chartership Landscape Institute, CSLA, AILA, SILA, IFLA or equivalent required.
