Job Description

Synopsis

Reporting to and working under the guidance of Manager Operations Analytics & Reporting within Network Operations, he/she should leverage their advanced analytical skills and the wider analytical toolkit, to analyse and visualize Etihad’s enterprise data resources with a strong focus on operational data.

To help answer the highest value analytical questions posed by departments across the Operations Division and also, he/she should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, to effectively work across a multi-disciplined environment. He/she will be encouraged to develop their skills and techniques for the analysis of data and problem solving, to stay up-to-date with industry leading BI capabilities. 

Accountabilities

• Working with Manager Operations Analytics & Reporting to analyze requirements and identify or design the solution to a business problem/question
• Execute complex, ad-hoc analyses utilizing Etihad’s wider analytical toolkit proactively looking for further insights and root cause
• Summarize / visualize results and highlight likely insights for the business translator to develop
• Maintain documentation repository of solutions, to include methodology
• Identify opportunities for automation and improvements to approach in each analysis performed, make recommendations to wider team as to priorities for further development 
• Develop and maintain proficiency with advanced analytic and database tools, in-house data sets, and other resources
• Will be encouraged to develop one or more specializations in Etihad’s key analytical disciplines and become the ‘go-to’ person among peers in that field. Act as an expert and coach to wider Operations Analytics team.

Education & Experience

• Diploma required (2 years or more)
• Additional qualifications in analytical disciplines and techniques an advantage
• Strong work experience in data/business analysis or data engineering
• Experience in Airline data analytics is preferred
• Hands-on experience with Power BI dashboards experience is a must
• Advanced MS Excel and Office 365 (SharePoint, Power Apps etc) is a must
• Experience with programming languages such as but not limited: SQL, Python, R
