The Corporate Logistics Team plan, move and control the flow of goods from point of origin to point of consumption across all divisions, markets and brands within Alshaya. Working closely with brand teams to ensure appropriate stock and delivery to store, the team manages a range of complex and diverse activities including shipping, freight, warehouse operations, customs clearance (in-bound and out-bound), compliance and project management.
Role Profile: Senior Analyst
Working in the Supply Chain Planning Team maintaining and improving logistics planning activities. Contribute and improve central logistics data management, analytics, and reporting. Implement and improve processes and applications to help the warehouse operations, group freight, product registration and brand customers perform better.
Required Experience:
- High performing analyst with minimum 5-6 years’ experience of building and managing web/ mobile applications with end-to-end database development, reporting / dashboarding and data science.
- Minimum 2 years in a lead role is expected.
- Logistics and Supply Chain experience is desirable.
Required Skills:
- Highly PC literate and advanced in Microsoft Excel, Access, and SQL
- Knowledge of ETL Tools (SQL BI – SSIS, SSRS, SSAS), Data Analytics and Reporting tools (Power BI, Qlik View or similar) would be an advantage.
- Exposure to Amazon Redshift / Azure/ Athena and Datawarehouse concepts.
- Able to derive meaningful insights from crunching numbers and create data story.
- Basic knowledge of Software Development: C#.Net / MVC / jQuery /HTML / CSS is beneficial.
Competencies:
- Able to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision or guidance.
- Business and Technical Writing skills.
- Able to communicate clearly and confidently.
- High-level user of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and related modeling tools
- Experience in leading small teams is desirable.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and under pressure
- Training end users on functionality of application launch and upgrades
- Understanding of IT project management methodology
- Experience of managing a team of direct and indirect reports
