<strong><u>Job Description<br><br></u></strong>Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Sector Director – Logistics Construction to join our team! In this role you will get to Direct all field construction activities of major projects involving multiple units (Typically a project having more than 7 million construction manhours or a total installed cost of more than $250 million.), or multiple smaller-scope projects. Applies widely diversified knowledge and experience of various disciplines to be used during construction, as well as the most current and effective methods and techniques to be utilized for installation. Incumbent is totally familiar with required contractual obligations and technical aspects of all facilities to be erected. In addition to construction supervision, the incumbent is also responsible for field administration, procurement, and field engineering. Willingness to relocate to construction site locations is expected.<br><br><strong><u>What You’ll Be Doing<br></u></strong><ul><li>Management of planning and delivery of city-wide logistics infrastructure within the program and ensures operational and maintenance consistency across the program.</li><li>Coordinate with other delivery partners (Jacobs and Mace), as well as QIC and all existing contractors, and future planned procurement of major contractors.</li><li>Engage with the Client Development leads and their Master planners / Concept Designers to ensure strategies and plans are properly developed through the lifecycle of the program.</li><li>Implement agreed strategies, through delivery of workplans and other key documents and approaches in accordance with program requirements and accepted best practice.</li><li>Lead the implementation and application of advanced principles, theories, and concepts, ensuring compliance and consistency across the projects and across delivery teams.</li><li>Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas.</li><li>Leads on unusually complex problems and provides solutions that are highly creative, in coordination with functional leads.</li><li>Facilitates forming partnerships with key stakeholders and organizations impacted by the program.</li><li>Assigns work to employees, oversees, and tracks the completion of work assignments.</li><li>Interviews and selects personnel for assignment as required. </li><li>Maintains clear and concise work standards and goals; provides training and development; completes performance evaluations, conducts employee counselling, takes corrective action as necessary.</li><li>Ensures adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies, and procedures.</li><li>Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.<br><br></li></ul><strong><u>What Required Skills You’ll Bring<br></u></strong><ul><li>Requires widely diversified knowledge of construction-related processes and industry practices.</li><li>Demonstrated effective managerial capability on construction projects of comparable scope and complexity is also required, as well as excellent written and oral communications skills (particularly in formal presentations to clients and upper management).<br><br></li></ul><strong><u>What Desired Skills You’ll Bring<br></u></strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience)</li><li>20+ years of widely diversified experience (including successful management experience) in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is required.<br><br></li></ul><strong><u>Minimum Clearance Required To Start<br><br></u></strong>Not Applicable/None<br><br>Parsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
