Job Description

Sales Representative Activities

  • Perform the day-to-day sales activities for the consumer goods (food or non-food), in addition to following up on orders and deliveries to achieve the monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Conduct periodic check-ups on the floor display, implement the visibility agreement of the consumer goods in order to ensure that company’s products are located in the agreed upon store space.
  • Administer the inventory movement of the consumer goods (food or non-food) within the store in order to identify low inventory levels and coordinate with the concerned support team for the provision of the required stocks/ materials.
  • Minimize consumer goods sales returns/damaged goods and short expiry goods by monitoring returns, implementing the depletion plan and avoiding overstocking the points of sales.
  • Assist the consumer goods Sales Supervisor in coordinating sales promotion activities and campaigns according to predefined budgets.
  • Follow up on the collection of invoices and due payments of the consumer goods unit, in order to ensure receivables are paid on timely basis.
  • Monitor slow sellers and take action to reduce prices or set promotions as necessary to ensure minimum waste and returns.
  • Communicate the weekly visit schedules to the consumer goods (food or non-food) Sales Supervisor to ensure timely delivery of all the required items to the assigned stores/ warehouses.
  • Ensure that direct Supervisors are informed well in advanced of all new orders needed by quantity and SKU.
  • Ensure that all sales documentation of consumer goods is maintained and recorded in their respective files.
  • Maintain positive relations with existing customers in order to ensure customer retention.
  • Handle and respond to client’s queries in a professional and effective manner to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Provide customers with the appropriate selection, sampling of products in response to their inquiries and liaise with the Sales Supervisor in order to provide customers with quotations, as required.
  • Perform ad-hoc and other duties related to the job as assigned by Direct Manager.

Reports

§ Prepare and submit periodic reports to direct management pertaining to Merchandizing activities and any issues that may arise.

Skills

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification

§ Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.

§ Must have a driving license.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 0 – 3 years of experience in the same or related field.
  • Good knowledge of the principals planning, expiry, First in First Out and product Management.

Language Skills

§ Proficiency in English and Arabic languages.
