Job Description
- Identify, engage, plan and develop new accounts
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual quota by proactively prospecting with new and existing customers
- Prepare and present proposals and solutions to decision makers
- Forecast, track, and report on opportunity pipeline and closes
- Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand client base
- Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities and building a pipeline, and educate clients on products and technology trends
- Develop sales reports, communicate sales status, and update and maintain customer relationship management (CRM) systems with activities and opportunities
- Identify, investigate, and follow up on qualified leads in select market segments
- Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully maintaining and developing commercial sales, developing new accounts through face-to-face and telephone contact with potential customers
- Ascertain customer needs and demonstrate product capabilities and how the product addresses these needs to the customer
- Respond to all sales leads within the required response time and work to solidify and close the sale, and report results on a regular basis as defined
- Overcome customer objections, issues, or concerns as necessary to solidify the client relationship, and obtain a higher value from clients based on the value-added benefits offered by the product/service
- Develop meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty
- Participate in weekly strategy discussions of forecasted opportunities
- Consistently meet sales activity metrics quarterly
- Track all sales activities in the company and update account information regularly
- Ability to work at local/regional trade shows and conferences
- The position requires travel
Requirements
- Experience in logistics sales and direct solution selling
- Knowledge of supply chain and on-ground operations
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients at all levels of an organization
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to various audiences
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a targeted, goal-oriented approach to sales
- Strong technical acumen and understanding of various industries
- Proven track record of new business development and exceeding sales targets with prospects and customers
