Sales Executive, IoT | AFET | KSA

Overview of the role:

    In AFTECH, the IoT Sales Executive is the passionate point of contact about the intersection of cloud computing, mobile applications, and the Internet of Thingst-of-Things (IoT).

  • The IoT Sales Executive must have the ability to put together a sales pitch for unique cutting-edge solutions that bring together IoT/Mobile devices and data
  • With a unique combination of deep technical knowledge, business acumen and strong interpersonal skills, AFTECH is seeking an IoT Sales Executive to work with our partners to sell cloud-based IoT solutions
  • At AFTECH, customer obsession is in our DNA. The successful candidate will become a trusted adviser to our customers and will develop the business with our partners in IoT / Smart Projects delivery teams to drive solutions adoption and revenue generation

What you will do: 

IoT business development and Growth:

•   Define, and develop the go-to-market strategy for Managed Services Offerings

•   Develop and execute yearly sales plan with Managed Services goals and deliverables to be included in AFT’s overall Annual Sales Plan 

•   Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering our solutions

•   Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst AFG digital community

•   Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be AFTECH advocates

•   Act as a Sales liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support 

•   Registering in all governmental portals to acquire timely related tenders

•   Evaluating the tenders with the line manager and partners

•   Drafting the techno-commercial proposal and submitting it within the timelines

•   Attending all prequalification sessions with the client

•   Coordinate with the delivery team post-tender award

•   Constantly checking clients’ satisfaction

•   Issuing vendor LPOs on time

•   Receiving client LPOS and processing it through finance

•   Timely collection of account receivables   

Self-Improvement

•   Conferences, Exhibitions and events on modern methodologies like IoT, blockchain etc

Required Skills to be successful:

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Arabic is a plus
  • Experience in new business sales with proven track records
  • Business Applications Sales record is a must
  • Long-term experience in negotiating contracts on the senior executive level
  • Strong track record of pursuing and winning business in large enterprises
  • Strong expertise and network in the KSA market
  • Experience in IoT infrastructure, Private Cloud Solutions and Applications Management
  • Excellent relationship skills
  • Fluent English skills, both oral and written; Arabic is a plus
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Able to work with teams locally and internationally

What equips you for the role:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT/ CS or a similar field
  • Proven track record in selling IoT or similar smart solutions, including preferably OPEX / SaaS sales models

Minimum Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales or Business Development in relevant IT / Mechatronic products
  • Good understanding of Data Sales / Managed Services monetisation concepts
  • Sales experience in one or more specific IoT industry solutions (i.e. smart cities, Industrial IoT, manufacturing, business automation, health, asset tracking, smart utilities, etc.)
  • Good understanding of IoT device networks such as LoRA, Zigbee, Sigfox, etc
  • Relevant knowledge of IoT platforms such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT, GE Predix, PTC Thingworx
