Job Description

  • Key to generating solution-based business development opportunities for some of our largest and most important customers. This means we’ll depend on you to use your creativity and expertise to transform ambiguous and often complex opportunities to signifying this role, you’ll also support the growth of the business by providing technical sales support for customers and including pre and post client interaction throughout the sales process.
  • Key role will be participating in the entire sales process – initial discovery, project review, design submission, component installation.
  • Takes a technical sales approach, and frequently be required to review, analyse and interpret construction drawings, bills of quantity and project specifications to prepare technical offers. This role will be required to make technical designs, solutions to fit project requirements.
  • Grow sales through local channels both through existing key customers and business development/new opportunities.
  • Deal with clients and prospects from a wide variety of backgrounds, including marine and civil engineering contractors, consultants and distributors, to grow and develop your product and industry sectors. It will involve rolling up your sleeves to demonstrate and sell some of the most pioneering products in the industry.
  • Nurture strong relationships with new and existing clients, helping them find the most innovative, effective and cost-efficient solution for their needs.
  • Face-to-face customer interactions with set objectives and targets.
  • Working closely with authorities/consultants to make specifications.
  • Planning and closing daily sales activities.

Requirements

  • Knowledge in industrial products in UAE market driving sales, business development, in a technical environment.
  • Preferably in the marine industry, including but not limited to aids to navigation, inland waterways, oil containment, turbidity measures, coastal protection & aquaculture will help you get on board.
  • B2B experience successfully gaining new clients and growing sales for new products without an existing client base or known brand.
  • Proven experience in technical sales of industrial or marine products.
  • Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets, client management & lead generation.
  • Proven ability to apply engineering, or other technical principles to product sales.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills ensuring support & resolves client’s needs.
  • Experience with CRM’s, good organization skills and knowledge to elaborate technical offers and winning tenders’ strategies.
