In this role the job holder will be exposed to the dynamic and challenging environment that brings unique experience and helps to develop multiple professional skills.<p><br></p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><p><br></p>The responsibilities of the position include (not limited to):<p><br></p><ul><li> Safety policy and objectives</li><li>Liaise with counterparts at airlines, airports, contractors on Safety matters</li><li>Keep the SMS documentation up-to-date</li><li>Participate in development and promotion of a just and positive safety culture</li><li>Deputize the Post Holder Safety in industry bodies and stakeholder meetings</li><li> Safety risk management</li><li>Facilitate hazard identification and risk analysis</li><li>Assign safety actions, follow-up on implementation</li><li>Facilitate the internal safety forums (e.g. Safety Action Groups) and manage the outputs</li><li>Support Post Holders and their team members in safety matters </li><li>Monitor aviation industry, trends and hazards, recommend the internal mitigating actions</li><li>Escalate significant safety issues to the Post Holder Safety, as necessary</li><li> Safety assurance</li><li>Perform initial assessment and categorization of safety reports</li><li>Monitor the Management of Change records and escalate to Post Holder Safety, as necessary </li><li>Develop, implement and review the existing Safety Performance Indicators and Hazards</li><li>Identify and monitor Safety Objectives and Safety Performance Indicators</li><li>Submit Mandatory Occurrence Reports and other reports to GCAA, follow-up and on-time closure</li><li>Contribute to improvement of Integrated Management Software</li><li> Safety promotion</li><li>Contribute to preparation of safety communications, periodic safety updates and bulletins</li><li>Track validity of safety trainings for key management personnel (e.g. Post Holders) and assign recurrent trainings in timely manner</li><li>Contribute to the improvement of the SMS training programme, and identification of training needs for key management personnel</li><li>Distribute information as appropriate to ensure an organizational awareness of relevant flight safety issues</li><li> Emergency response</li><li>Contribute to implementation and development of the Airline Emergency Response Plan</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>REQUIREMENTS:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Completed university or college degree is a must</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation, with 2 years in Safety domain either Flight Operations or Aviation technical / maintenance background would be an advantage</li><li>Aviation regulations (Air Operations)</li><li>Safety Management System</li><li>Human factors in aviation</li><li>Safety investigation techniques</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to work independently with strong drive towards exceeding the set goals</li><li>Good oral and written presentations skills</li><li>Teamwork and strong interpersonal skills</li><li>Fluent spoken/written English (Arabic would be an advantage)</li></ul><p><br></p>When applying, please only provide valid information regarding your educational background and certificates, as the original documents will be requested during the hiring process.<p><br></p>We look forward to meeting you and learning more about your skills and experience.
