Job Summary:

Safety Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing safety procedures and programs to ensure the safety of our projects design packages. He should have a strong background in safety management, risk assessment, and incident investigation. He will work closely with other engineers, contractors, and project managers to identify potential safety hazards and develop effective measures to mitigate them.

Key Responsibilities:

Experience across the fields of fire & life safety related to the built environment

Good technical knowledge in Fire Safety/Engineering working within Residential, Commercial, Healthcare and Hotels sectors.

Independently manage complex projects with multifaceted technical scope and stakeholder management both internally and externally (internal technical team, relevant authorities, clients, subconsultants etc)

A good understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process

Able to take a brief from the project lead and deliver & control the tasks required, within time and budget Strong leadership, interpersonal / people management, and mentoring skills Experience in managing PMC activities at a client / consultant level

Develop and implement safety procedures and programs to ensure compliance with local and international safety standards and regulations.

Conduct risk assessments and hazard analysis to identify potential safety hazards and develop effective measures to mitigate them.

Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis to identify the underlying causes of incidents and develop effective corrective actions.

Participate in safety audits and inspections to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Develop and maintain safety documentation, including policies, procedures, and manuals.

Work closely with other engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure that safety considerations are integrated into all phases of project design and execution.

Keep abreast of new safety regulations, standards, and technologies and make recommendations for their implementation.

Qualifications and Skills:

β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering or a related field.

β€’ Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Safety Engineering.

β€’ Strong knowledge of local and international safety regulations and standards.

β€’ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

β€’ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

β€’ Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

β€’ Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

β€’ Ability to use safety equipment and perform physical tasks as needed.

β€’ Professional certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred.
