Equipment Flow team solves one of the most challenging puzzles in Maersk, as Equipment lead you are responsible for optimizing the empty container fleet, coordinating with various stakeholders for optimum equipment flow & most efficient spent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage equipment flow activities across pools (Import return, Export pickup, inventory management, empty positioning, etc.).
  • Co-manage vendors (depots, terminals, etc.) along with ELM Lead, ensuring performance is up to contacted SLAs (equipment utilization, unit cost, dwelling time, quality, etc.) also take part in auditing them.
  • Closely Liaise with commercial counterparts (Sales/Market) Teams to avoid overbooking situations.
  • Work closely with Ocean/feeder fulfillment teams in supply/evacuation plans execution & vessels utilization in compliance with global/regional equipment flow guidelines.
  • Identify bottlenecks and actively participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Take active part in performance/cost reviews and deep dive analysis toward more efficient spend & cost saving.
  • Drive forecasting accuracy for all equipment types with commercial counterparts, instilling empty cost positioning awareness.
  • Participate in company transformation/digitization initiatives & roll it out within the area.
  • Responsible to deliver a high customer experience by making sure equipment, in the right condition and the right time is available.

We are looking for:

  • Fluent in oral and written English, Arabic is a plus.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to handle conflicts & instill trust.
  • Team-oriented, with a passion to proactively collaborate with colleagues across multiple functions and geography.
  • Good analytical skills, with ability to leverage on data to drive decision.
  • Self-driven attitude within defined boundaries and guidelines
  • Proficiency in Ms office, prior experience with internal systems such as ROCK, RKEM, COMET, MEPC and GSIS & Power Bi is a plus.
  • Commercial understanding in general, Maersk products, yields & flow adjustment is a plus.
