Role And Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

As a RPA Pilot Instructor, you will be responsible for activities in the following areas:

  • Provide instruction to include briefing, conducting simulator/training device events, debriefing, and conducting critique of the training event to include completing documentation of performance.
  • Provide academic instruction in the classroom using appropriate lesson plans, approved media and method of teaching, audio visual support or electronic computer-based training equipment/media.
  • Perform duties as a subject matter expert when/as required.
  • Must occasionally perform ancillary job and contract related tasks to support the instructional programme, i.e scheduling, standardization, or courseware development.
  • Perform occasional travel in support of the programme.
  • Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Will be required to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints.
  • Must be able to generate effective oral and written presentations and proposals on complex subjects.
  • Actively pursue continued professional growth and training.
  • Pursue knowledge and skills to enhance ability as a subject matter expert.
  • Learn and comply with CAE Quality Management System and Environmental Health & Safety Management System.
  • Provide customer support and address customer needs in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previously rated military pilot or previously held FAA/EASA CPL/ATPL with IR.
  • Previous experience as an instructor pilot (USAF specialty code β€œK”, RAF QFI/QWI or direct equivalent).
  • Minimum of 1500 hours total pilot flying time, including 500 hours pilot flying time on a representative MALE RPA type.
  • Minimum of 3 years direct RPA instructional experience.
  • Must have previous academic and/or simulator instructor experience as an instructor pilot.
  • Must meet specific educational and experience levels, including flight hours, instructor credentials and aircraft time as specified in the contract upon which employed.
  • Must be eligible for customer security clearances and meet base access criteria.
  • Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite.
  • Native English speaker or certified Level 6 (Expert) in Aviation English.

Security Responsibilities:

  • Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.
  • Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form.
  • Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know.
  • Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval.
  • All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Communicate via personal computer, telephone and fax.
  • Domestic and international travel as required.
  • Must be able access a simulator cockpit unaided.
