RFR OPS and Customer Service Specialist

DHL Global Forwarding has an opening for a RFR OPS and Customer Service Specialist in Morocco. You will help to Implement Road freight Strategy in the country as defined by ensuring on time delivery of road freight services, ensure procuring best rates from carriers, commercially work on customer RFQ’s and manage Operations for clients.

In this RFR OPS and Customer Service Specialist position
- You will help to review existing pricing rates and policies with carriers and network to initiate updates and changes based on market trend/current business requirements and maintain strong relationship with them.
- You will have to maintain Country Road freight Tariffs with carriers on agreed validity and deliver best pricing solutions to maximize profitability.
- You will ensure internal local and cross border rates input into the rate management system and validate it for auto costing, quotations, and auto rating.
- You will have to manage contract with suppliers, establish regular carrier meetings and ensures that these are conducted for all key carriers.
- You will have to analyze accepted/rejected quotes lane wise and negotiate with network and carriers for better rates.
- You will have to determine profit margin, support and follows up with Sales, Sales, Support and Customer Service
- Your aim will be to source and provide spot rates to sales, customer service for all types of cargo to be moved by road.
- You will have to negotiate and procure best rates in market
- You will help in the execution of global procurement strategy and decisions and monitor carrier/ station performance and initiates corrective actions.
- You will have to execute operational shipments for customers allocated from booking from customer to booking with carrier to billing and updating all operational system. Takes ownership for file control (Profit, revenue and cost)
- You will have to ensure timely billing of shipments executed and system update to ensure customer has full visibility
- You will have to ensure use of carrier as per defined policy, maximizing profit for company
- You will have to ensure to provide customer with full shipment visibility and movement as per customs compliance
- You will have to ensure to maintain excellent relationship with various teams within the company to manage rate procurement and operations
Now, here’s what we need from you
- Deep knowledge of Road freight forwarding business from domestic and cross border prospective
- Excellent analytical structuring skills along with Strong project management skills and ability to cope with multiple bids in parallel.
- Results driven and attention to details
- Minimum 3 years of experience in road freight pricing, commercials and operations
- Understanding of end to end process from freight and customs prospective for domestic and international road movements
- Understanding of end to end process from freight and customs prospective for international road movements
