Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the resort, ensuring that all guests receive excellent service.
- Spend time with your guests/members to ensure they are at the heart of everything you do.
- Leading, coaching, developing and inspiring your team members to deliver an incredible guest experience.
- Support your leadership team to develop the operations, fitness, food and beverage and event offering to ensure the right products are delivered at the right time to maximize participation, aid retention and improve the bottom line.
- Manage the food and beverage operation, including rostering, menu planning, purchasing, and staff training.
- Work closely with sales, marketing and revenue management teams to develop their strategy to drive occupancy, new member sales and events.
- Full financial accountability; profit and loss, income, expenditure, and debtors; helping set the budgets and business plan.
- Ensure the property and grounds are well maintained, clean and safe at all times.
- Support with any new CAPX developments.
- Manage the resort’s membership program, ensuring that members receive the benefits they expect.
- Oversee the resort’s recreational activities, ensuring that guests have a variety of options to choose from.
- Work with TFG Hospitality Corporate office and other department heads to ensure the smooth running of the resort.
- Drive the pre-opening and project management of the resort, ensuring that the resort opens on time and within budget.
- Work with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that the resort is designed and built to meet the needs of guests and staff.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations.
Desired Skill & Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related field.
- 3+ years- Middle East-based experience as a Resort Manager, Club Director, or Resort Director of operations 5-star+ standards.
- Highly engaging, professional, ambitious and obsessed with service and operational standards.
- Front-of-house approach to leadership with the ability to step up to provide strategic direction.
- Experience in building and developing high-performing teams fostering a culture of excellence.
- Extensive experience and track record in growing club membership in golf and/or fitness clubs.
- Experience in managing extensive food, beverage and accommodation services.
- An advocate of living an active healthy lifestyle.
- Experience in developing and executing marketing and sales strategies.
- Experience in managing membership programs.
- Experience in managing recreational activities.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
